The Commissioner of Police has concluded plans to work hand in hand with the Lagos State Ministry of Justice to secure speedy trials of the suspects as the command's Operation Say No To Cultism continues.

The Commissioner of Police however recognizes and appreciates the roles being played by community members in making the operation successful. He also calls for more supports from all and sundry in the fight against cultisim and other vices in the state.

Babatunde Gbadamosi: Tinubu, Others Should Return Pensions Collected

A former governorship candidate in Lagos Babatunde Gbadamosi has urged past governors and deputy governors of Lagos to return pensions collected in the past, saying that was the only condition for him to welcome Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s plan.

Igbere TV reports that Mr Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday announced to the State House of Assembly his intention to repeal the Public Office Holder (Payment of Pension Law 2007) which provides for payment of pension and other entitlements to former governors and their deputies.

“I would welcome this, as long the all previous beneficiaries are made to return EVERYTHING they took from the state under this Tinubu law,” Mr Gbadamosi a real estate developer tweeted.

https://twitter.com/BOGbadamos....i/status/13261370743

“Mr. Speaker and Honourable Members of the House, in light of keeping the costs of governance low and to signal selflessness in public service, we will be sending a draft executive bill to the House imminently for the repeal of the Public Office Holder (Payment of Pension Law 2007), which provides for payment of pension and other entitlements to former governors and their deputies,” Sanwo-Olu had told the assembly.

The votes are for Biden but the seat is for Trump, the movie has not ended - Prophet Badu Kobi shares new vision after prophesying Trump's win earlier (videos)

The founder and leader of Glorious Wave Church International, Prophet Badu Kobi has shared his new vision after prophesying earlier that President Donald Trump will win his re-election campaign.

While preaching in his church on Sunday October 4, Prophet Badu Kobi had told his congregation that there will be "no change in US presidency as Trump will sit on America’s seat again."

He said in the church service;

“2020 no change Trump will sit on America’s seat again. American will not vote for him but he will be President. The votes that will come will be for Biden but Trump will still be President. 2016 I told you a certain nation will help Trump, the same way Trump will bulldoze his way the same way 2021 will be President. Between the two Biden is weak and Trump is strong. If a prophet tells you the angels are now discussing it’s a lie, Trump will be President”.

However the popular Ghanaian cleric has now shared his "new vision" which came after Joe Biden was declared winner of the US Presidential election.

Prophet Badu said in the new video that the "votes are for Biden but the seat is for Trump and the movie has not yet ended". He also claimed that he saw Trump knocking off votes from Biden's hand in a vision he saw.

FG exempts Dangote, BUA, gas firm from border closure

The Federal Government has exempted Dangote, BUA and a gas supply firm from its land border closure policy which came into force on the 19th of August, 2019.

Disclosing this to the Nigerian Tribune exclusively, Spokesman of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), DC Joseph Attah explained that these three firms were exempted due to the need for what they produce as export in other West African countries.

According to DC Attah who also doubles as the Spokesman for Operation En-Swift Response, the operational arm coordinating the border closure enforcement, "The Presidency, in its magnanimity, has approved the exemption of three companies, Dangote Cement, BUA and a gas supply firm from its border closure restrictions due to the need for what they export to other African countries.

“I cannot remember the name of the gas supply company now, but the company supplies gas to Niger and other West African countries.

“So as of now, these companies will be allowed to export their goods through our land borders to neighbouring countries.”

On whether the goodwill might be extended to other firms, the Customs Spokesman explained that he cannot comment on that since he is talking on what is currently available as of now.

“For now, only these three companies have been exempted. On whether the goodwill will be extended to others, I cannot talk on that since I am not in the Presidency. Ours is to carry out policies of government as regards the land border closure policy.”

Recall that Nigerian Tribune had exclusively reported that businesses and revenue-generating agencies located in the South West have suffered a dip due to the border closure policy that is in its 16th month as of November 2020.

"It Means I Won" - Trump Reacts To Georgian Governor's Tweet

The election earlier started with Trump on the lead but it didn't last long as there was a turnabout as Joe Biden appeared at the top. Biden didn't just appear at the top, but he was at the top with an appreciable vote count above every other presidential candidate even above the incumbent president.

Donald Trump who has been claiming that the US election wasn't fair was obviously Jubilating saying "It Means I Have Won" because of what the Governor of Georgia tweeted this morning.

Brian Kemp:

Georgia's election result will include legally cast ballots - and ONLY legally cast ballots. Period.

Robbers Invade Six Churches In Osogbo, Cart Away Millions Of Naira Property

No fewer than six churches in Osogbo, Osun State were recently invaded by armed robbers who carted away a multimillion Naira public address system.

The men of the underworld were said to have stole Mixers and Slave Engine Amplifiers at the affected churches which include Methodist Church, Isale-Aro; Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Bishop’s Court, Jaleyemi; Catholic Church, Popo; Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Isale-Aro; and Anglican Church, Balogun-Agoro.

A member of one of the affected churches who spoke under condition of anonymity, said it was unfortunate that the robbers chose to target the House of God to carry out their nefarious activities.

Narrating the development, the source said: “We woke up on the fateful day to discover that about six churches have been robbed by the criminal elements who invaded the said churches.

“At Methodist Church, Isale-Aro, the robbers broke three security doors to access the church building after which they carted away one big Mixer worth about N600,000 and three Slave Engine Amplifiers worth N80,000 each.

“The robbers also stole similar sets of public address equipment at Anglican Church, Balogun-Agoro; Catholic Church, Popo; Christ Apostolic Church, Isale-Aro; Anglican Church, Bishop’s Court and another Christ Apostolic Church around Old Secretariat axis.”

Another church member told our correspondent that the matter had already been reported at Police Station, Oja-Oba, while the police officers immediately swung into action.

“We have lost equipment worth millions of naira. After we reported the matter at Oja-Oba Police Station, police officers came to our church to make some findings. As a matter of fact, Anglican Church is the worst hit as the robbers stole several items there.

“The police officers came and asked some questions about who we suspected could be responsible, but added that for them to go further with investigation, especially to trace the fingerprint of where the robbers touched will cost the church money.

“So, the church had to abandon pressing ahead with the investigation since it will cost us money. We have resolved to leave the matter to God and pray that the robbers will have no peace in their lives until they return the stolen items.

“These are public address items that we use during our services and it is unfortunate that the robbers targeted worship centres and God’s sanctuary to perpetrate their evil trade,” he said.

When contacted, Public Relations Officer of Osun State Police Command, Mrs Yemisi Opalola clarified that the money requested for fingerprint investigation was not an extortion, but that it has to be paid where the investigation would be carried out.

“It is not the investigating police team that is responsible for the fingerprint test. They will have to take it to the State CID (Criminal Investigation Department) and they don’t do it free there. It is not the police that will pay for what they will use for the fingerprint test and that was why they told them to fund the investigation.

“The investigating team can as well tell the victims to go and conduct the fingerprint test in Alagbon, Lagos, and so it is not as if they are being extorted,” she said.
