*THE LEGAL BASIS FOR OUR PROSPERITY*
*BIBLE READING: GALATIANS 3:13-14; ROMANS 8:17; JOHN 18:8*
*"For you know the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich." 2Cor. 8:9(NKJV)*
One of the greatest lies the devil has sold to most Christians is the idea that prosperity is synonymous with iniquity. How far from the truth could this be? In Job 1:1-3, the Bible tells us emphatically that Job was both the wealthiest and holiest man of his era, thereby, rubbishing the aforementioned notion. On the contrary, the truth is that total prosperity and sin are mutually exclusive, therefore, the need for us as believers to understand that our Lord Jesus Christ paid the Ultimate Price in full for our prosperity. In other words, we have a legal right to prosper because Jesus settled that matter once and for all through His Passion.
The Lord Jesus came "to seek and save that which was lost."(Luke 19:1. If we observe carefully, we can see that He clearly said "THAT" rather than "WHO". What this means is that, the Lord did not come to the earth to redeem just man. Let us examine what the Holy Spirit inspired King David to say in this regard: "The Earth is the Lord's and all its fullness; the world and those who dwell therein."(Psalm 24:1).
From the above Scripture, we can see that the Lord lays claim on 4 things which originally belong to Him and needed redemption:
•The Earth i.e., the entire geographical land mass and real estate called planet Earth.
•All its Fullness i.e., everything which consitutes material wealth, including finances.
•The World i.e., the 7 Mountains or Spheres of Society.
•Those who dwell therein i.e., every single human being on Earth.
In other words, the Redemptive Sacrifice of Jesus Christ covered these 4 areas. When He said, *"It is finished"* in John 19:30, which was a Greek expression "Tetelestai" which literally means "the price has been fully paid," He was declaring that the Price He paid on the Cross covered not just the entire planet, the souls of mankind and the sectors of society but also the entire wealth of the Earth.
Galatians 3:13 tells us that, *"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law,"* which is broadly divided into 3 dimensions i.e., poverty, sickness and death. The Redemptive Sacrifice of Jesus during His Passion is the Legal Basis for our liberty from this curse. As joint-heirs with Him, through His Substitutionary Sacrifice, we have become alive in place of death, healthy in place of sickness and prosperous in place of poverty. What an unspeakable sacrifice indeed!
*PRAYER
•Heavenly Father and Righteous Judge, we honour You for the Redemptive Sacrifice of Your Son Jesus Christ for our prosperity. Thank You, Lord, for the chastisement of our peace was laid upon Him. Everything in me that has given the devil legal rights not to allow me to prosper financially, I repent and ask Lord, that those legal rights of the enemy be revoked in the Name of Jesus.
•Lord, help me to embrace the fullness of Your Grace, even in the area of prosperity so that through prosperity, Your Kingdom purposes will advance through the Church. Receive all the Glory in Jesus' Mighty Name.
*CONFESSION
•In honour of Jesus' Sacrifice, I refuse to walk in poverty.
•The Lord Jesus Christ has paid the full price for my prosperity, hence, I have the legal right to prosper.
I Have Never Been Bribed By Government - Omotola Reacts To Bribery Accusations by AltMon2: 10pm
Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has reacted to allegations that the government paid her to cast doubts about the Lekki toll gate shooting.
The actress denied these allegations and said she has never been bribed by the government. She added that she can't be lured by money and went on to explain the reason for her statement.
Omotola said she realized that it appeared the authorities were trying to deny people were killed at the Lekki toll gate on October 20, 2020, so her tweets were aimed at stating that whether anyone died or not doesn't change the fact that a crime happened and innocent unarmed protesters were shot at.
She said her tweet was misconstrued and people began assuming she had been paid.
The tweet from Omotola that cause outrage reads: "If People died during the Lekki Toll Assault , let their people speak out please and if there were No deaths then enough with the sensationalization because it does not remove from the Crime that happened."
She was called out for it and she later deleted the tweet then apologized and explained herself in follow-up tweets.
