David Ibiyeomie: Daddy Freeze Is A Bastard For Insulting Oyedepo, My Father by diasporaman(m): 7:40am
Daddy Freeze is a Bastard for insulting my father. Pst David Ibiyeomie blows hot.

The founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie calls Daddy Freeze a bastard who doesn't know his father and he threatened to arrest him next time he hurls insult on Bishop David Oyedepo. Daddy Freeze was born in a ship by a Somali and he has no money he says.

Read Daddy Freeze's post below:

Dear Bishop Oyedepo, submission goes both ways. It’s not reserved for women alone, rather both the husband and wife MUST submit to one another.
-
◄ Ephesians 5:21 ►
New International Version
Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
-
Now, let us always endeavor to quote scripture in context. We shouldn’t leave out the instruction given to the men, who must also be prepared to DIE for their wives like Christ died for the church, or is this because we live in a patriarchal and misogynistic society that we adopt one and leave out the other?
-
◄ Ephesians 5:25 ►
New Living Translation
For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her.
-
Furthermore, men are instructed to love their wives as they love themselves, before they receive respect. If a man cheats on his wife, beats her or doesn’t take care of her financially, how can he disillusion himself into believing that he’d get submission and respect from her? ‍♂️
-
◄ Ephesians 5:33 ►
New Living Translation
So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Garba Shehu: Successive Governments Lacked Courage To Remove Fuel Subsidy

The Presidency on Sunday said the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), demonstrated “right courage” to take recent decisions that led to hike in fuel price and electricity tariff among others.

It said such decisions were long overdue but successive governments before Buhari’s lacked courage to take bold decisions.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, stated these in a statement titled “History will be kinder to President Buhari than his critics are prepared to be.”

Shehu was reacting to criticisms that trailed recent hike in fuel price and electricity tariff.

He described the reforms that led to the hike in prices as “necessary and overdue.”

The presidential aide claimed that the Buhari regime has worked hard to meet many expectations within its five years but that there are still “certain tough decisions” that must be taken to reposition the country.

The statement read, “The All Progressives Congress came to power in 2015 defeating an incumbent administration amidst very high expectations from President Muhammadu Buhari.

“Five years on, the administration has worked hard to meet many expectations, but still, there are certain tough decisions which had to be taken to put back the country on the path of sustainable development.

“To stop the mismanagement of taxpayer money, eliminate corruption associated with subsidies on petroleum products, power, fertilizer among others, the administration took the decision to implement long-delayed reforms, withdraw and allow the market to determine their prices.

“Subsidy removal in these sectors had long been foreseen by successive administrations as game changers in search of solutions to move forward with the nation’s development. These are reforms that are necessary and overdue. Blueprint upon blueprint, timeline upon timeline had come and gone but courage to take bold decisions was not there.”

Shehu recalled that in the last few days, there have been claims within the online community, sections of the labour movement and the opposition that the regime’s actions are ill-timed and ill-advised.

He said the country was currently fighting multiple challenges along with COVID-19, including low earnings, near-collapse of the oil market, floods, threats of terrorism and banditry.

Notwithstanding these challenges, he said a good government must take decisions for the people’s good.

He added, “As President, Muhammadu Buhari takes these difficult decisions, both popular and unpopular and as a leader because he is demonstrating the right courage to take such decisions as they become necessary in view of present circumstances.

“History will be kind to President Buhari because in addition to his amazing ability to command votes, he will be remembered as the President who made real contributions to economic and overall national development by eliminating the evils of corruption embedded in subsidies.

“In any democracy, the most important certificate in governance is acceptance by the people and, with the support of ordinary Nigerians, President Buhari has shown a rare determination to carry out the bold initiatives as these ones driven by nothing other than the greatest good for the greatest number of people.

“In carrying out the reforms, the President needs the support and understanding of all citizens-inclusive of the opposition parties, the labour movement and civil society groups.

“In these challenging times, the President is pushing development goals not politics and history will judge him in favourable terms rather than his critics in the new media and the opposition.”

Anglican Bishop Urges FG To Rethink Fuel Price, Electricity Tariff Hikes

The Bishop of Anglican Communion, Mbamili diocese, Rt. Rev. Henry Okechukwu Okeke has warned that the latest fuel pump price and electricity tariff hikes would have devastating impacts on the poor masses in Nigeria, urging the federal government to have a rethink on the controversial decision.

Bishop Okeke who was fielding questions with journalists during the 4th synod held at the St John Anglican Church, Umueze Anam in Anambra West local government area of Anambra state described the decision by the Muhammadu Buhari led administration to raise energy tariff at a time the country was still struggling with coronavirus pandemic shockwaves as “shocking and unbelievable”.

“Such decision came to me as well as other well-meaning Nigerians as a rude shock. It’s unbelievable that the federal government of Nigeria could at this time of unprecedented hardship that is ravaging many families as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic take such a rash decision”, Bishop Okeke said, while urging the presidency to have a rethink on the decision.

“The government should consider the plight of the poor masses in Nigeria and urgently do something about this fuel price and electricity tariff hikes because it sends wrong signal to the whole world, especially on capability of the APC government to manage the current situation.

“I think Nigerians are not receiving it with joy at all” –Bishop Okeke
Fuel Price hike protesters
According to the cleric, it was wrong for the government to stand aloof or impose more burdens on the masses at such critical times like this. “I think Nigerians are not receiving it with joy at all. For the rich people, it may not mean anything to them but to the poor people, this new price regimes comes with serious consequences because they are likely to become poorer and unable to meet their needs. I therefore call on the federal government to have a rethink and urgently reverse this decision.

Bishop Okeke had earlier in his valedictory speech charged the Anambra state Governor, Chief Willie Obiano to address the infrastructural challenges faced by residents of Anambra West local government area, especially access roads. He expressed regrets that despite Anambra government’s claims that the state has one of the best road networks in the country, the Anambra West council that was regarded as a food basket area of the state was not accessible and lack other basic social amenities. He expressed regrets that the Umuikwu-Umudora -Onono road flagged off by governor Obiano in 2019 and the Otuocha-Nzam-Ibaji federal highway project flagged off in 2010 by the federal government have been stalled, despite evidences that completion of the projects would open up the area and boost economic activities.

“There is urgent need for both the federal and Anambra state governments to focus on providing access roads to people in Anambra West because that would also be “I want ask on behalf of the Ndi-Anambra West our dear governor, please remember Anambra West in terms of road infrastructure. Fix our roads, we appeal to you to come to our rescue “.

Edo Guber: ‘I Go Die’ Hails Oshiomhole During APC Campaign

Nigeria comedian, Francis Agoda, also known as ‘I go die’ has commended the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, for his developmental strides in Edo while he was governor of the state.

Agoda gave the commendation at an APC ward-to-ward Edo Governorship campaign at Imiegba, Etsako East Local Government Area of the State on Sunday.

He said Oshiomhole placed high priority on infrastructural development hence the expansion of the Benin Airport road to dual carriage way and construction of major roads across the state.

He described Oshiomhole as the best governor Edo has ever had saying, “you have done what no other governor of Edo has done and I commend you for that.”

The comedian also appreciated Oshiomhole for contributing to his success in the entertainment industry.

Speaking at the campaign rally, Oshiomhole said good governance was about alleviating the plight of the masses.

He said he decided to throw his weight behind Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, candidate of APC in the Edo Governorship election because of his track record of good leadership and credibility.

He alleged that the Gov. Godwin Obaseki-led administration was more of a propaganda government which had not met the yearnings of Edo people.

Meanwhile, Sen. Francis Ailimekina, member representing Edo North Senatorial district at the National Assembly urged his constituents not to sell their votes but vote for APC.(NAN)

Djokovic Disqualified From US Open For Striking A Judge

World number one Novak Djokovic was sensationally disqualified in the U.S. Open fourth round on Sunday in New York after striking a line judge with a ball.

This was after a point loss during the first set of his match against Spain’s Pablo Carreno Busta.

Djokovic was becoming frustrated after failing to take the opening set.

After suffering a fall and having dropped serve to trail 5-6, he hit a ball reasonably hard to the back of the court, striking a female line judge.

He immediately apologised and stood over her before becoming involved in a lengthy exchange with the tournament referee.

Under the rules of the game there is no option other than a default.

In spite of Djokovic’s pleadings that he had not meant to hit the official, he was eventually disqualified.

Djokovic shook hands with a stunned Carreno Busta and trudged off to face the music.

It was an incredible end to the top seed’s hopes of winning an 18th Grand Slam title — something that had looked increasingly likely as the fortnight progressed.

“It’s the right decision,” Tim Henman, who was disqualified from Wimbledon for a similar incident in 1995, said.

“He was not aiming for the line judge, but has hit the ball away and you have to be responsible for your actions.” (Reuters/NAN)

With the successful conduct of primaries of the two main political parties, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River state at the weekend, the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) in the State has congratulated Barr Joe Agi of APC and Dr Stephen Odey of the PDP for emerging candidates for the forthcoming Cross River north senatorial by-election.

In a congratulatory letter addressed to Barr Joe Agi, dated 4th September, 2020, signed by CNPP State Chairman, Mr Sunday Michael, and the Secretary, Mr Castro Ezama, and made available to our reporter on Sunday, the CNPP said, “on behalf of the chairmen of political parties and the general membership of the CNPP, we congratulate you on your emergence as the northern senatorial candidate of the APC in Cross River state.

“Your emergence is a welcome development hatched in the right direction as we strongly believe that this will bring balance, equity, fairness, and justice to the Yala Nation. We thank the delegates and the INEC monitoring team, the CNPP observer team and security agencies for abiding by the rules.”

In another congratulatory letter addressed to Dr Stephen Odey of the PDP, dated September 5, 2020, the CNPP Chiefs said “the decision of the delegates to elect you as the PDP’s candidate from among other distinguished aspirants is a testimony of how far and wide you consulted, further to this, choosing a Yala son in compliance with the directives of the CNPP to all political parties demonstrates the commitment of your party in bringing balance, equity, fairness and justice.”

However, controversies had followed the conduct of the primaries of the two political parties as both Prof Zana Akpagu of APC and Hon Jarigbe Agom of the PDP are also laying claims to the tickets of their respective parties, saying they won the primaries.

Their supporters are equally waiting with bated breath to see who the national secretariats of the two political parties would give their flags to even as the issue has generated heated tension among party members and stakeholder.

In the two day training organized in Abakaliki with support from Amplify Change, tagged, ” Voice Out To Save The Girl Child”, CESVED noted that it is important for the media being the bedrock of information to select choice of words in reporting FGM to avoid causing crisis among the people.

According to the president of CESVED, Gift Augustine Abu, journalist can not visit a Traditional ruler and tell him that his culture is barbaric that such would sound as an insult to the traditional ruler being a custodian of culture therefore persuasive words should be used to pass the information on the health challenges of Female genital Mutilation on the survivors.

C’River SUBEB Boss Picks PDP Ticket For Senatorial By-Election

With the race for the Cross River northern senatorial district by-election intensifying, the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (CR SUBE, Dr Stephen Odey, Saturday, emerged the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary for the October 31 by-election.

Declaring Dr Odey winner, the chairman of the electoral panel, Hon Olorogun Taleb Tebite, said the SUBEB boss polled 450 votes to defeat his closest rival, Hon. Jarigbe Agom who scored 90 votes. He described the process as peaceful and orderly.

Speaking, one of the INEC officials who observed the primaries, Mr. Amula Timotheus expressed satisfaction with the exercise, saying the exercise was conducted in line with INEC guidelines and was therefore satisfactory.

However, Rt Hon Agom Jarigbe has rejected the results saying many delegates were excluded from voting and that he would take appropriate steps to seek redress.

Former PDP National Publicity Secretary, Venatius Ikem, Esq, who also spoke posited that what transpired was not a true reflection of a party primary because, according to him, even Hon Jarigbe had to leave when he noticed the level of irregularities which went on.

Ikem , who was also an automatic delegate from Obudu, alleged that some fake delegates were brought in from the back door just as officials from government House and security agents manhandled delegates.

Meanwhile one person was feared killed on Friday night in Ogoja, prior to the PDP primary even as Journalists and delegates were also mercilessly manhandled and tear-gassed at the venue of the event.

The name of the deceased was given as Charles Onwe while two others who were fatally injured had been hospitalized. Eyewitnesses, Okoro Igbang, said Onwe was stabbed to death on Friday, September 4, 2020 by a group of suspected thugs in Ogoja local government area of the state, and that those loyal to the two outstanding contestants in the primary, Rt Hon Jarigbe Agom and Dr Stephen Odey may have masterminded the violence.

Mr. Emmanuel Egwu, PDP Chapter publicity secretary in Yala local government area, who was also a delegate for the Obudu State Constituency and Cross River Northern Senatorial District by-elections indicted a sitting member of the State House of Assembly and two Commissioners for the attack.

He said three of his friends, who were in the car with him, Mr. Charles Onwe, Bob Igelle and Mr. Adibe were attacked with daggers machetes, adding “I and Mr. Igelle managed to escape while Mr. Onwe and Adibe, were left half dead, until Police around the area intervened and took them to the General Hospital Ogoja, where Mr. Charles Onwe was later confirmed dead, while the other two are still receiving treatments at the General Hospital, Ogoja”.

Spokesman for the Cross River state Police command, DSP Irene Ugbo, could not be reached at press time since her telephone lines were busy when our reporter called. Besides, the result of the primary election was being awaited as at the time of this report.

Recall that All Progressives Congress (APC) primary which took place on Friday had produced Barr Joe Agi and UniCal Vice Chancellor, Prof Zana Akpagu as candidates. While Barr Agi was declared winner at the National Secretariat of the party by the chairman of Cross River North Senatorial District Primary Election, Alhaji Suleiman Nakowa, the party Senatorial Returning Officer, Mr Lazarus Undie, said Prof Akpagu carried the day

*THE CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS*

*BIBLE READING: 2TIMOTHY 4:6-8*

*"And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it." Colossians 4:17(NKJV).*

The greatest honour in life, second only to being a born again child of God, is the privilege of being in His Service. Humanly speaking, one of the most powerful and influential offices on Earth is that of the POTUS i.e. The President of the United States. However, the American president is limited in the scope as well as the duration of his power (a maximum of 8years or two terms in office). On the other hand, the Bible says that those believers who are part of the First Resurrection shall reign with Christ Jesus for 1000 years or 250 terms during the Millennium; that is just a foretaste of our Eternal Reign with Him (Revelation 20:6). Howbeit, having a crown is evidence that one is qualified to rule with the Lord and one of the most important of them is the Crown of Righteousness.

The Crown of Righteousness is a reward from the Lord Jesus to Christians who faithfully fulfill God's Divine Purpose for their lives. Apostle John the Beloved stated that; "For THIS PURPOSE the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil" (1John 3:8). Apostle Paul in his second epistle to Timothy his spiritual son, aware of his imminent execution at the hands of Emperor Nero, emphasized his readiness to be reunited with the Lord Jesus Christ; this then begs the question: what gave him the audacity to claim the Crown of Righteousness? (2 Tim. 4:8). 2Timothy 4:7 states the threefold answer:
(1.) I have fought a good fight...
(2.) I have finished MY course...
(3.) I have kept THE Faith...

Firstly, the only fight every believer is expected to engage in is the Good Fight of Faith (1Timothy 6:12). It becomes pertinent that we always remember that the righteous shall live or be sustained by faith and faith alone according to the Scripture Habakkuk 2:4; Hebrews 12:38-39).

Secondly, Paul said he had finished HIS course i.e., his God-given assignment or ministry because God will never commend you for doing what He didn't command you to do. Straying away from your purpose in life is like spending endless hours using a very tall ladder to climb to the top of a wall only to discover at the last minute that you have been leaning against the wrong wall.

Thirdly, Paul kept or guarded the Christian Faith: Whatever you are called to do must be a testimony or witness in the eyes of all to our New Life in Christ. In other words, pursuing the Agenda of God without portraying the Attributes of God is counterproductive.

The Bible says; *"So I run straight towards the goal in order to win the prize, which is God's Call through Christ Jesus to the Life above."* (Philippians 3:14:Good News Translation). The primary goal of every believer is Christlikeness, which is the End of all spiritual warfare. This goal is what enables us and qualifies us to fulfill God's Call upon our lives. In view of this, let us strive to become more like Him and finish the ministry He gave us to accomplish that we may receive the Crown of Righteousness as we hear Him gladly say, "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:21).

*PRAYER
Father in Heaven, we honour You; to You alone we ascribe all the glory, honour and power. O Lord, please reveal to me Your divine call upon my life and grant me the grace to fulfill it that I may qualify for the Crown of Righteousness, receive all my praise in Jesus' Mighty Name.

*CONFESSION
• I was created by the Lord God Almighty to fulfill a specific assignment.

• By His grace, I will finish my own course and make Him proud of me.

• I will always protect the Integrity of my Christian Faith.
