Kantor yang baru diresmikan tersebut dipersembahkan khusus untuk Ketua Umum PDIP Megawati Soekarnoputri yang lahir di kota gudeg tersebut.



"Kantor DPD PDI Perjuangan di Yogyakarta ini dipersembahkan secara khusus kepada Ketua Umum Ibu Megawati Soekarnoputri," kata Sekjen DPP PDI Perjuangan Hasto Kristiyanto di sela acara peresmian yang digelar secara virtual, di Jakarta, Rabu (28/1.

Selain Megawati, Sekjen DPP PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto juga lahir dan berasal dari Yogyakarta.

Presiden perempuan pertama di Indonesia itu. yang merupakan putri Proklamator RI Bung Karno dilahirkan di Yogyakarta pada 23 Januari 1947.

Pada saat itu, belum genap dua tahun Indonesia merdeka dan para bapak pemimpin bangsa masih dikejar-kejar oleh kekuatan penjajah, sehingga harus kerap berpindah tempat tinggal termasuk ke Yogyakarta.



Menurut Hasto, karena dipersembahkan khusus untuk Megawati, maka inspirasinya dari Presiden kelima RI itu, yakni perhatiannya terhadap pelestarian lingkungan, sehingga gedung dibangun secara khusus dengan konsep hijau.



"Desain gedung ini inspirasinya dari concern Ibu Megawati selama ini, yakni green building. Jadi kader harus memperhatikan kelestarian lingkungan," kata Hasto.



Hasto menjelaskan kantor partai tersebut bukan hanya menjadi pusat administrasi, namun berfungsi juga sebagai rumah rakyat dan rumah budaya.



Gedung itu terdiri atas 5 lantai dengan ruang lobi luas dan terbuka hingga ke atas di lantai ke satu. Di sana ada juga taman budaya. klinik kesehatan dengan layanan dokter gratis, dan musola yang nyaman.

Di lantai kedua disiapkan ruang ketua umum partai, ruang pimpinan dan pengurus DPD PDIP Yogyakarta, serta ruang rapat yang representatif.

Tersedia juga ruang komunal di lantai ketiga yang bisa menjadi coworking space untuk bekerja dan untuk kegiatan-kegiatan kepartaian.

Lalu ada ruang khusus perpustakaan serta ruang kebudayaan dan berkesenian yang bisa dipakai oleh masyarakat umum.


Lanjutnya Hasto mengatakan selain kantor di Yogyakarta, DPP PDIP juga meresmikan gedung sekolah partai di Kota Batu, Malang, Jawa Timur.

Gedung ini menjadi pusat penggemblengan kader partai agar terbangun kesadaran ideologi politik, juga kesadaran untuk menyejahterakan seluruh rakyat Indonesia.


Lebih jauh Hasto mengatakan bahwa gedung kantor partai bagi PDIP selalu memiliki makna ideologis.

Dia mencontohkan kantor pusat partai di Jalan Diponegoro, Jakarta Pusat.

"Bagaimana kantor ini jadi saksi perjuangan politik melawan pemimpin otoriter. Akhirnya kekuatan otoriter dihancurleburkan. Tetapi Bung Karno justru tetap sebagai sumber semangat kita, akhirnya terbukti kita tak bisa dihancurleburkan karena kita punya ideologi Pancasila," kata Hasto.



Megawati berharap pembangunan kantor baru, termasuk di Yogyakarta, bisa menginspirasi agar kantor sejenis bisa dibangun di kota lain.



"Kantor ini diselesaikan cukup lama. Mungkin dua tahunan. Tapi walau pelan, progresnya selalu ada. Di daerah lain, banyak alasan. Katanya tak ada uang, Bu. Tapi itu karena tak diusahakan. Jadi butuh perjuangan serupa [seperti di Yogyakarta]," kata Megawati.



Selain peresmian kantor di Yogyakarta, DPP PDIP juga meresmikan 12 kantor di daerah lainnya dan meresmikan patung Bung Karno di Yogyakarta.

Butir pertama dapat dimaknai bahwa sejauh apapun kita melangkah dan pergi meninggalkan tanah air akan tetapi perasaan rindu dan semangat tetap akan kembali ke tanah air, yaitu Indonesia. Sementara pada butir kedua dapat memiliki arti bahwa bagaimanapun perbedaan yang ada di Indonesia akan tetapi kita tetap satu bangsa, bangsa Indonesia. Butir ketiga memiliki arti bahwa bahasa Indonesia adalah identitas kita, suatu keharusan terhadap sikap yang nyata dalam mengedepankan bahasa Indonesia.

Pada masa itu, semua pemuda dan pemudi tidak lagi memandang perbedaan suku, ras dan asal daerah sebagai penghalang dalam mewujudkan cita-cita. Berkaca dari sejarah tersebut, cita-cita para pendahulu kita harus diteruskan oleh para pemuda saat ini. Persatuan dan kesatuan elemen masyarakat khususnya para pemuda dengan tidak memandang perbedaan, akan mewujudkan kemerdekaan Indonesia pada saat itu. Saat ini, persatuan dan kesatuan tersebut perlu diikrarkan kembali, untuk bersama-sama saling bahu membahu menuju pembangunan Indonesia yang mensejahterakan masyarakat.

US: Why We Oppose Okonjo-iweala’s Election As WTO DG

The United States has explained why it is against the election of Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as the next director-general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).

In a statement issued by the office of the US trade representative on Wednesday, the world power said the WTO is in dire need of reform and must be “led by someone with real, hands-on experience in the field”.

“The United States supports the selection of Korean Trade Minister Yoo Myung-hee as the next WTO Director-General,” the USTR, led by Robert Lighthizer (pictured above), said.

“Minister Yoo is a bona fide trade expert who has distinguished herself during a 25-year career as a successful trade negotiator and trade policy maker. She has all the skills necessary to be an effective leader of the organization.

“This is a very difficult time for the WTO and international trade. There have been no multilateral tariff negotiations in 25 years, the dispute settlement system has gotten out of control, and too few members fulfill basic transparency obligations.

“The WTO is badly in need of major reform. It must be led by someone with real, hands-on experience in the field.”

OKONJO-IWEALA: I’M A TRADE EXPERT
The argument against Okonjo-Iweala has always been that she has no direct trade experience. But while addressing the WTO in July, the former minister of finance in Nigeria refuted the claim.

“I am a development economist and you cannot do that without looking at trade. Trade is a central part of development. So, I have been doing it. My whole career at the World Bank, I was working on trade policy reform in middle and low-income countries at the bank,” she said.

“As finance minister, the customs service in my country reported to me. And that is all about trade facilitation. I helped my country’s negotiation with my trade minister on the ECOWAS common external tariffs. I don’t know how much more trade you can have than that.

“So those who say I don’t have trade, they are mistaken. I think the qualities I have are even better, because I combine development economics with trade knowledge, along with finance, and you need those combination of skills to lead the WTO. I think I have the skills that are needed. I am a trade person.”

On Wednesday, Okonjo-Iweala had won the popular vote to become the next DG and had the nod of the three ambassadors saddled with the responsibility of picking the next leader of the trade body.

But at a WTO delegates meeting to discuss the appointment, the US expressed opposition to her election — the US was the only country opposing her election.

Keith Rockwell, the spokesman of the WTO, said just one member country did not support Okonjo-Iweala.

“All of the delegations that expressed their views today expressed very strong support for the outcome, except for one,” he said.

The WTO reconvenes on November 9, 2020 after the US election to decide who becomes the next DG.

Diplo Claims He Slept With Beyonce; Women React

The American record producer made this claim in leaked text messages he sent to another woman in 2010.

The woman had sex with Diplo then reached out to him to let him know she got a sexually transmitted infection (STI) from him. She asked to know what kind of infection he has so she'll know what she's treating.

However, Diplo denied it, blasted her and called her a liar. Then to prove he couldn't have given her an infection, he claimed he had sex with Beyonce.

The screenshots were recently released to a Twitter influencer by the woman who exchanged the text with Diplo. The Twitter influencer said the woman was still in fear of Diplo as she reached out to her.

I hear people talk about these matter, funny enough i have never been approached on that.
Most directors i know and have worked with are just responsible and strict.

Maybe it happened before, here, most directors are professionals besides why on earth will you subject yourself to that point. I can't give you sex for a role, knowing i am good in my job. Sex should be a two way thing. Something must make us do it.

6: Who is your role model and why?

My mother, because she is a giver.

11: How can the Nigerian movie industry be improved?

The Nigerian movie Industry however leaves much to be desired. A zillion movies are reeled off the industry every single week but only a handful will give you a run for your money. The vast majority of Nigerian movies are poorly directed, poorly edited and even when the plot is great, it is often botched because the actors interpret it poorly. To improve the industry I've these few things to say.

First, take the time to edit your videos right. Run re-takes where it is necessary to do so and make sure you get your sound and lighting right.

Secondly, you don’t have to use those whack custom sound tracks throughout the movie. It just doesn’t sound hip.

Also, stop using one particular person in movies, there are so many and alot talented actors out there who most times do better than the everyday faces. All you need is to build them.

Most times it is same actor, same locations, same costumes same crew, same everything. It is called a talent and entertainment show, we should be versatile.

Lastly, do not allow your script to be so damn predictable. we don’t want to guess where every movie is going and be right ever single time. Thank you


12: What lasting solution can you suggest on the unrest happening in Nigeria over Police brutality and corruption?

This is a revolution, we have woken up. The solution is from the root not the top, how do i mean, discovery movements which the youths have started already. Let all these old politicians go, amend some of our constitution and get the entire police force reformed.
