Sarri Sacked After Champions League Exit

Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri has been sacked following the club’s Champions League elimination against Lyon, it was announced on Saturday.

The Serie A side suffered a round of 16 exit to the French club despite a 2-1 win on Friday night, losing on the away goals rule as the tie ended 2-2 on aggregat
A Juventus statement said: “Juventus Football Club announces that Maurizio Sarri has been relieved of his post as coach of the First Team.

“The club would like to thank the coach for having written a new page in Juventus’ history with the victory of the ninth-consecutive championship, the culmination of a personal journey that led him to climb all the divisions of Italian football.”

Despite winning a ninth successive Serie A title last month, Sarri’s team have not managed to convince the critics during his first season in charge. Their failure to even match last season’s quarterfinals performance in the Champions League was the final straw for the 61-year-old.

Sarri leaves Juventus with a record of 34 wins in 51 competitive matches, eight draws and nine defeats. Their tally of 83 points in Serie A this season was the lowest of their nine-season run of titles. Juventus also lost the Italian Supercup to Lazio and the Coppa Italia final to Napoli.

“If I wasn’t devastated by not qualifying, I’d be happy with the performance,” Sarri said after Juventus’ defeat to Lyon.

“I actually expected less from us, I think we played a great game. We fell behind to a penalty kick that could have made us lose our heads and we had three chances when we were 2-1 ahead.”

Meanwhile, Juventus chief Andrea Agnelli is adamant Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at the club despite him exiting the Champions League at the round of 16 stage for the first time since 2010.

A report in France had claimed Ronaldo wanted to move to Paris Saint-Germain. Sources have told ESPN, though, the Ligue 1 side are prioritising the contract renewals of key players Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

“I am entirely convinced he will stay,” Agnelli said. “I think the report was down to an interview from several months ago, which just happened to be published just before we played against a French team. It’s an old media trick. No, I can assure you that Ronaldo remains a pillar of Juventus.

Speaking at the launch of Rain Oil Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) facility with a tank capacity of 8000MT and a fleet capacity of about 40 LPG trucks on Friday, the Minister commended Rainoil for partnering with the government in gas utilization and development of the gas sector in the country.

The Minister described Rainoil as a leading integrated company operating in the downstream sector of the Nigerian oil and gas industry. He said that Rainoil is working in tandem with the vision of the federal government, in making gas a preferred fuel in the country.

‘I am excited at what I am seeing here today. Everything can speak for itself. As you can see, energy is very important in the global economy. I am glad that Nigerian’s are playing key roles in the oil and gas industry.
He noted that Rainoil’s investment in gas development aligns with President Buhari’s agenda in the National Gas Expansion Programme (NGEP), adding that the government has declared 2020 as “the year of gas”.

He stated that the country has sufficient gas reserves to meet its energy needs and was happy to see Rainoil align with the governments drive to deepen LPG penetration and attain 5 Million MT of LPG consumption by 2022.

The Awakening Programme
The Awakening Programme
5 yrs

Still on Awakening programme August 6th
Our guest for this week is Prince Godspower Chimereze CEO, MEREZ Integrated Agric. Enterprise Livestock Management Expert and Agricultural Project Consultant.

Lyrics:why do you think young youths have this mindset of”wetin I wan use farm do?”.

Mr Chimereze:I will start by asking why you dey chop food?

Lyrics:Because I dey hungry

Mr Chimereze: who dey do that one wey you dey chop

Lyrics:I buy am

Mr Chimereze: that is exactly how to answer that your question. She asked if you have a farm in your house. Well me I don’t a farm I have farms. I have a personal farm and also have farms that I consult for and those farms are also my farm.

Why do u think we have this mentality of farming is not our thing.

Mr Chimereze: it’s an unfortunate situation that we are born into it. Born into it in the sense that anybody that is categorized as a youth today was born into the oil boom. And the oil boon pushed our mindset away from agriculture. I will say that its not our fault because we found ourselves when the country is enjoying from the proceeds from the oil.

Are we doomed?

Mr Chimereze: we are not doomed instead we are only reversing back to the status hope.I think the government should keep agriculture running while oil is still there. We the youth and even grandaunts of agriculture wants to be a staff in the oil company. So I think this is the mainly cause of thought we tend to possess.

What do you think about youth in the South East region. How they are accepting agriculture, Do you think they participate well in agriculture or are they going for white collar jobs.

Mr Chimereze: as of today or as of before

Lyrics: As of now

Mr Chimereze; unfortunately too just as I answered the first one, the youths of the south eastern region we are business oriented persons and been born into the oil boom. All of our business expertise was moved into the oil business, It pushed us out of agriculture. They are not doing anything as regards to agriculture.
Now the reason for this is that we have not reoriented our mindset to see the business prospects and aspects for agriculture. And for those who has reoriented their mindset they now see the prospects and aspects of agriculture. The southeast region does not do a thing because every other person is doing it. If there is no profit In it you wont see an igbo man there.
The first thing is reorienting the mindset, understanding the business projections, profits of agriculture.
So to answer your above mentioned question, is “NO” the reason is clear just like I pointed out.

Lyrics I don’t know the secondary school you attended. I remember many years ago. If you are offering Agriculture as a subject. It will come to a time where they will tell you to come to school corn seeds that you guys will plant it.

Mr Chimereze: and then you will divide the land into segments all of you to get your own corner. I beg to come into that. That is one of our problems if we continue with that method our south eastern younger people that are going into youth age will be facing same problem.

Lyrics; why do say so?

Mr Chimereze; Good, agriculture is more practical than theoretical

But that is practical

Mr Chimereze: What is the practical there? You took one grain of beans and planted into the soil. Then for how long will you do that. That is not the practical.
When I talk about the practical. Recalled that When that happened do you remember any other thing your teacher told you about that activity you carried out. And its those things that you hear that you are been told of that will spoil your mindset to want to become an agriculturist. After the practical How many of your classmates said they would want to be an agriculturist. That is exactly the point I am making, let them begin to teach with the understanding of making profits in agriculture.
We need to change this mindset in agriculture and how do we do it..starting from the Ministry of Education should go on a sensitization and reorientation program for all agricultural science teachers.
Agricultural Science Teacher should learn how to practicalize and speak passion into the children. For Secondary School and Primary School. And they should be taught the essence of having a Personal Farm and also the benefits of agriculture.

Lyrics: Now You talked about the Government. And talking about reorientation People point finger at the government. Everyone Blames the Government. Now lets bring the government in. The reorientation you talked about the Ministry of Education. Minus the Ministry Of Education .Do you think the government is doing enough to support like we have the SME’s program, Microfinance Banks. Do you think they (Government) do enough to support us?.

Mr Chimereze: For me to answer this I have to take our mind back to the caption of the program.”The Youths”. And one the ways to make this work now is for this youth to start making profits.
Now to answer your above question. The Government is doing so much, The southern Eastern Government is trying their best. Why did I say they are trying their best. I pointed out reorientation. Let me mention the Microfinance Bank you talked about earlier. They said COVID19 loan .how many persons took that loan with the mindset of investing it into Agriculture. Some took that loan only to sustain themselves.
The government has provided support, the youths in particular, I happen to be in this government in Enugu State where I serve as the technical assistant to commissioner for agriculture.
But point is that the people that are receiving these facilities are not using for what is its supposed to be used for. Before I go further again I will like bring the needs for sensitization.
Agriculture we know is not a fast money making venture .that is the problem we have always had with our youths. What I am saying now is that while we talk about special time for orientation or reorientation program may I use this opportunity to now to do a brief one.
Agriculture is not Yahoo Yahoo!!!

Lyrics: E dey play E dey Show

Mr Chimereze: Part of the orientation is for our youth to begin to gap their heart to patience. Agriculture requires Patience and Consistency.

Chimereze speaking of patience and consistency, I am a young graduate from one of the universities in southeast and there is no money. So I have the option of probably going online in search for jobs and you talked about creating awareness from secondary school and teacher did a great job by teaching more about agriculture and I have passion for it. So what advice do you have to tell me , I have no money then I have option of getting a job or going into agriculture.

Mr Chimereze: Your Answer Is simple there is no business you start in life without money. So it’s not peculiar to agriculture. Some people say you are telling us to do agriculture and there is no money. What else can you do?. The fact that you get to start working elsewhere doesn’t change the fact that you have passion for agriculture. You must have heard some people who left their businesses to go into agriculture. At first they might not have the money to start it up so they have to work and save up money for agriculture.
So can work in any fame you wish to, saved up some money and then go back to agriculture. You can be in the Medium or small and still benefiting in your own way.

Lyrics: Now we are going to open the phones lines on; 09020020925 or 08098888925 Remember you Can send us Message via Whatsapp on 07010106223 please don’t call the whatsapp line.

Caller 1:Please here is my question. I don’t have fund to start up Agriculture and I don’t have a white collar Job also, is there any way the farmers can render assistance to upcoming farmers.

Mr Chimereze: You don’t fund and you don’t job as well and you are just seated in your house and you are saying you don’t have fund. Well my advice to you is to go look for a way to raise money. I can tell you some farms out there who need marketers to market there products. Just like I said earlier you must have to saved up because there is business you can start up without fund and also open ear to governments opportunities.

So Mr.Chimereze Moving Forward looking at the future of farming What Advice do u have for the young people.

Mr Chimereze: The Advice young person’s is Number 1.Remove your mind from Yahoo yahoo (Scam).Bet9ja, remove your mind from E dey play E dey show.

Lyrics; No let me explain what is meant by E dey play E dey show. Its means as far as you are working it the result is coming out.

Mr Chimereze: Ok based on that explanation Agriculture is highest E dey play E dey show ,because if you plant Maize Today in the next one week You dey see am. Two weeks e don come out. One month you dey chop am.

So my Advice to the South Eastern youths is that the future of agriculture is very anonymous The potentials is something we cannot sit in this studio to start talking about. It is just a matter of patience and consistency. It is important that we know that the benefits of agriculture. So I encourage every youth to venture into agriculture in any way you can make sure you are doing something to fit in ourselves. Look at what COVID19 have done to us. I want to say it in short forms.”COVID19 has taught us how to farm even more than we ever taught we could.

*I HATE DIVORCE*

*BIBLE READING: MARK 10:2-12*

*“For the Lord God of Israel says, that He hates divorce, for it covers one’s garment with violence,” Says the Lord of hosts. Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously.” Malachi 2:16 (NKJV).*

From the above scripture we understand that God detests divorce. But the big question here is why? The reason is obvious. Divorce has an impact in our world that’s rarely rivaled. Whether you have personally been through a divorce, were the child of divorced parents or have a close friend or relative that is divorced, the ripple effects of divorce have touched most, if not all, of us.

So what do we do with a verse like this that tells us God hates divorce? Is it to be a word of condemnation to those who have crossed this threshold? Do we use it to single out divorced men and women as being on a special sinner’s list in heaven? Sadly, that's all happened in the past. But this perspective misses the greater point that God is making about divorce.

Let’s be clear, God does hate divorce, as He hates other things (Proverbs 6:16–19). But we need to understand why, and the reason is revealed as God’s Word tells us that divorce causes one’s garment to be covered with violence. In other words, divorce is a violent act. We may not immediately think of it that way. In fact, many of us probably witnessed a divorce where both parties parted ways amicably.

But make no mistake, divorce is violent because it separates what God has joined, and He hates that (Matthew 19:6). We should never want to divide what God has unified, especially when it comes to the institution of marriage, because it’s the one earthly relationship where God declares the two are now one in His sight, so much so that He considers it an act of adultery for a spouse to divorce without biblical grounds and move on to another mate: “Whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery” (Matthew 5:32 NKJV).

Again, divorce tears at the fabric of God’s will, which is why He warns Israel (and us) against it in Malachi and Matthew. His objective is not to utterly condemn those who have divorced. There is forgiveness and grace for all who have deviated from God’s will, including those who may have divorced without biblical grounds to do so. God’s objective is to remind us of His heart for marriage, how far-removed divorce is from it, and to love what He loves and hate what He hates.

*PRAYER
Father, I pray that you teach me how to love unconditionally like you. Help me walk in forgiveness and remove every thing or person that will cause me to divorce.

*CONFESSION
I come against every spirit of violence around me. I declare, only death will separate me from my partner and agape love will keep us together.

Nigeria: $445.7m Worth Of Gas Flared In 6Months – NOSDRA
The National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA) disclosed that the value of gas flared by oil and gas companies from January to June 2020 worth about $445.7m.

NOSDRA stated that 222.8 billion standard cubic feet (bscf) of gas was flared during the period.

This was contained in a report by the agency as parts of effort by the federal government to utilize gas and curb gas flaring in the country.

According to NOSDRA, the $445.7 million represents the fine accruable to the government from the flare of $222.8bscf of gas.

The gas flare tracker report showed that in the six months period, the majority of the flares were from onshore oil and gas sites, which accounted for 60.9 per cent of total gas flared, while offshore sites accounted for 39.1 percent of the total.

The report indicated that 135.8 billion standard cubic feet of gas was flared on the onshore sites in the six months period, while 87 billion standard cubic feet of gas was flared offshore.

On the impact of the flares to the environment, the report further stated that the volume of gas flared in the six-month period is an equivalent of 11.8 million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, and is capable of generating 22,300 Gigawatts-Hour (GWh) of electricity.

The breakdown showed that the 135.8 billion SCF of gas flared onshore, is valued at $475.5 million, an equivalent of N171.18 billion; would fetch a penalty of $271.7 million, an equivalent of N97.81 billion; translated to 7.2 million tonnes of CO2 emissions and capable of generating 13,600 GWh electricity.

At the onshore sites, the NOSDRA report stated that Delta State suffered the most from this practice in the six-month period, as it accounted for 38.4 percent of total gas flared onshore and 23.4 percent of total gas flared offshore.

It was disclosed that 52.2 billion SCF of gas was flared by the oil and gas companies operating in Delta State, translating to CO2 emissions of 2.8 million tones and an equivalent of 5,200 GWH of electricity. The volume of gas flared in the state is valued at $182.6 million and would fetch the companies, penalties of $104.4 million.

Rivers State followed with 38.5 billion SCF of flared gas, valued at $134.9 million; Bayelsa recorded gas flare totaling 27.1 billion SCF valued at $94.7 billion; while 9.9 billion SCF of gas was flared in Edo state, valued at $34.5 million.

Imo State recorded 6.0 billion SCF of flared gas valued at $21.1 million; Akwa Ibom 1.8 billion SCF, valued at $6.3 million; Abia 357.5 million SCF valued at $1.3 million and Anambra, 23.2 million SCF valued at $0.08 million.
