*NOT BY POWER OR MIGHT*

*BIBLE READING: JUDE*

*Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Jude 24-25(KJV)*

The greatest key to surviving the times is to learn and constantly practice the art of abiding. Paul speaking to the Thessalonians asked them to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thess.5:17). Abiding enables you tap into the supernatural ability of God to live above all the temptations and trials of the end time. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Phil 2:13

Paul spoke about his struggles in Romans 7:15-20, he said the things he desired to do were not the things he ended up doing. According to him, there was constant struggle between the inward man and the flesh. The inward man desires to please God while the outward man tilts towards evil.

The key to resolving this issue is abiding in the Vine. As you learn to fellowship with God on a daily basis, you start becoming like Him and becoming one with Him. One of the major things that happens is the surrender of your will. Donnie McClurkin in the song "Holiness" said, “So take my heart and mold it. Take my mind transform it. Take my will conform it. To Yours, to Yours, oh Lord.”

The transformation of our hearts and the conforming of our wills to God happens in the place of prayer. As we fellowship with God, our will gradually becomes one with His. Fellowship produces oneness. Jesus won the battle of the Cross not while on it but at the garden of Gethsemane in the place of prayer (Luke 22:39-46). He began by bringing His will before the Father but left Gethsemane empowered to take on the will of the Father; at the end of three hours of heartfelt, fervent and agonizing prayers. The will of the Father now became that of the Son.

Without the help of God, by ourselves we can do nothing to enter the kingdom of God but God helps us by His Spirit within us to meet His own standards. The major requirement is constant fellowship with the Spirit. According to our opening text, it is God who is able to keep us faultless, hence, living to please Him is not possible without partnership with Him.

*PRAYER
Express gratitude to God for the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life and ask Him to help you maintain a life of constant communion with Him.
