STRIVING FOR HIS APPROVAL

BIBLE READING: NUMBERS 12:7; 1THESSALONIANS 2:4; MATTHEW 24:45; 1CORINTHIANS 4:2

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth" 2Timothy 2:15(NKJV).

Faithfulness is one of the scarcest virtues in supply during these Last Days. King Solomon himself acknowledged this same issue in the Holy Scriptures: "Most men will proclaim each his own goodness but who can find a faithful man" (Prov. 20:6). It is only that which one searches for that one can find and one cannot search for what isn't hidden from one's view. Simply put, it is Faithfulness that secures us approval before the Lord God Almighty (Matt. 25:21).

By definition, Faithfulness is "the quality of being steadfast in affection or allegiance." Synonyms include trustworthiness, fidelity, loyalty, dependability and reliability. In other words, an unfaithful person doesn't serve the Lord with all his heart. The Bible says:
"Cursed is he who does the Work of the Lord deceitfully; and cursed is he who keeps back his sword from blood" (Jer. 48:1. Observe carefully that the issue in the aforementioned Scripture isn't Whose Work is done but rather the attitude of infidelity and deceit with which it is done.

The Bible clearly states the following Truth: "Depending on an unreliable man in a crisis is like trying to chew with a loose tooth or walk with a crippled foot" Prov. 25:19(GNT). People are often hired for WHAT they know but fired for WHO they are. The onus therefore lies upon us to strive to win God's Approval and Trust because He places an extremely high premium on the Virtue of Faithfulness even at the expense of competence. The Lord grant us Grace to continually remain faithful to Him.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, we ascribe all the Glory, Honour and Power to You alone. O Lord, please help us to cultivate and express the quality of Faithfulness in all our dealings with You in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

BECOMING A STEWARD OF HIS MYSTERIES

LUKE 8:10;1CORINTHIANS 14:2;EPHESIANS 3:1-10

"Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the Mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful." 1Corinthians 4:1-2(KJV)

A mystery is something that is difficult to explain or know. It is hidden knowledge only available to a select few who have been initiated into the small circle of those who are privileged to know the mystery in question. The Lord God Almighty has such Hidden Truths that have been hidden over the ages and only made known to those whom He has specially chosen to know it (Deut. 29:29). It is a great privilege and responsibility to be a custodian and steward of God's Mysteries. The Bible mentions a particular trait that every good steward must have. That character trait is called Faithfulness.

To be faithful means to be consistent and thorough. You have to be instant in season and out of season*(2 Tim. 4:2).* It means to be diligent and to give attention to details, to leave nothing to chance. It also means to uphold the Standards of God and to ensure that the things that have been entrusted to your care are not lost or diminished but always abounding. To qualify to be a steward of God's Mysteries requires humility. The Scriptures say thus: "Humble yourselves in the Sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up." (Jam. 4:1. One of the major ways God lifts you up is by making you a steward of His Mysteries. Secondly, it requires Faithfulness in little things, Faithfulness in how you handle money and Faithfulness in things that don't necessarily belong to you. This is so critical for all genuine stewards as clearly stated in the Scriptures: "For He that is Faithful in that which is least is Faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been Faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the True Riches? And if ye have not been Faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?" (Lk. 16:10-12).

PRAYER:

O Lord, You have made us stewards of Your Mysteries, so please help us to be faithful stewards. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. Help us not to fall short of Your Expectations of us in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

UNDERSTANDING THE PRINCIPLE OF FINANCIAL LITERACY

LUKE 16:8; ECCLESIASTES 7:12; ECCLESIASTES 10:19

"He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the True Riches?" Luke 16:10-11(NKJV)

The term 'Financial' refers to anything that relates to or involves money. According to Investopedia, Financial Literacy is the ability to understand and effectively use various financial skills, including personal financial management, budgeting and investing. Financial literacy forms the foundation of your relationship with money and it is a lifelong journey of learning. Many Christian believers ignore the issue of financial literacy to their own detriment. They fail to realize that in God's Kingdom, nothing is yours until you understand it. In order to have money, we need to understand money and how it works.

Financial Literacy is the knowledge and application of various financial skills like creating a budget, understanding how credit works, saving for retirement, asset diversification, understanding different financial instruments such as stocks, bonds, ETFs and creating an investment plan. The Bible declares that money is a defence and money answers all things. (Ecc. 7:12; 10:19) Unfortunately it appears that it's only the children of this world that understand this Principle, just like Jesus observed (Lk. 16:8).

Christians should come to the realization that money is not a side issue. Your financial well being affects every aspect of your life including your health, your relationships, your marriage and even your level of usefulness to God. This is why the enemy would rather that you continue to remain ignorant and ineffective when it comes to financial matters. The Assignment that God has given us will require a lot of finances to execute. And it is God's people that sponsor God's Projects primarily. We must rise to this Responsibility and begin to develop mastery in Financial Literacy. Begin by reading books on finances, taking trainings on it and getting a financial mentor.

PRAYER:

O Lord, please help us to understand our Responsibility to You, to our families and to Your Kingdom when it comes to the area of finances. Grant us the Grace and Wisdom to enable us develop financial capacity for the Assignment You have given us in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

PROPHET'S HONOR AND SEED FAITH

BIBLE READING: 2KINGS 4:8-37; 1KINGS 17:8-24; LUKE 6:37-38

"Let the elders who perform the duties of their office well be considered doubly worthy of honour [and of adequate financial support], especially those who labor faithfully in preaching and teaching. For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox when it is treading out the grain,” and again, “The laborer is worthy of his hire.” 1Timothy 5:17-18(AMP)

It is the Will of God that genuine pastors be honoured as can be seen throughout the Bible. The Prophet's Honour Principle could be explained as follows:

(1.) It Is holding your pastor with high respect and regard: "Dear brothers and sisters, honour those who are your leaders in the Lord's Work. They work hard among you and warn you against all that is wrong. Think highly of them and give them your wholehearted Love because of their work. And remember to live peaceably with each other. 1Thess. 5:12-13(NLT)

(2.) It is blessing your pastor with your material or financial resources: To buttress this point, 1Cor. 9:11(AMP) says the following: "If we have sown [the Seed of] Spiritual Good among you, [is it too] much if we reap from your material benefits?" Phillipians 4:18-19(NLT) also states the following as a follow-up: "At the moment I have all I need--more than I need! I am generously supplied with the gifts you sent me with Epaphroditus. They are a sweet-smelling sacrifice that is acceptable to God and pleases Him. And this Same God Who takes care of me will supply all your needs from His Glorious Riches which have been given to us in Christ Jesus."

When you honour your pastor, it is God Almighty Himself Who receives that honour. God then supplies all your needs! Proverbs 3: 9(NLT) states the following: "Honour the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything your land produces." This is the scriptural way to honour your pastor! Some of the benefits of Prophet's Honour are as follows:

(1.) The Blessing: Ezekiel 44:30(KJV) states the following: "And the first of all the Firstfruits of all things, and every oblation of all, of every sort of your oblations, shall be the priest's: ye shall also give unto the priest the first of your dough, that he may cause the blessing to rest in thine house." The Blessing comes after you have honoured your man of God.

(2.) Supernatural Increase: Proverbs 3:9-10(NKJV) states the following: "Honour the Lord with your possessions, and with the Firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine." Increase from one level to another is one of the benefits of Honour. Prophet's Honour is designed to move you from one level to another.

(3.) The Prophet's Reward: Matthew 10:41(AMP) states the following: "He who receives and welcomes and accepts a prophet because he is a prophet shall receive a prophet 's reward." The Prophet's Reward implies that God confirms every word the prophet declares over a person and the person becomes entitled to the proceeds of the Prophet's Office.

Concerning the Principle of the Seedfaith, Matthew 17:20 states the following:
"If you have Faith as small as a mustard seed… nothing will be impossible for you!"
Everything in life starts with a seed—including the things we receive by Faith. The Lord God Almighty says the following in Genesis 8:22: “While the Earth remains, seedtime and harvest… shall not cease.” The Eternal Law of Seedtime and Harvest, planting and reaping, giving and receiving will not change as long as the Earth remains. When we put our Faith in God’s Hands like a seed we plant, we are giving Him something to work with and He will send the miracle we need. No matter how small our Faith seems to be, it will meet needs and solve problems that appear as impossible to move as mountains. The Seedfaith Principle in the Bible contains Three Simple Keys:

(1.) Recognize that God is your Source: (Phil. 4:19)

(2.) Give first so that it may be given back to you: (Lk. 6:38)

(3.) Expect a miracle: (Mk. 11:24).

The moment we ask God for something—the moment we do our part and plant our seed of faith—we should believe God that the answer is on its way. It’s important to expect our miracle so we can recognize it and reach out to take it when it comes. It’s also important to remember that God controls the time and method He will use to give back to us. (Ecc. 11:6) We must keep trusting Him and expecting our miracle, no matter how long it takes to reach us. Give God something to work with today. No matter how little you think you have, sow it in Joy and Faith, knowing you are sowing seeds so you may reap miracles. Remember that God always sends the right answer at the right time in the right way. His Timing and Methods are always exactly right for our lives!

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, we pray that You give us a Deeper Understanding of how to honour Your servants and to release our Faith through our seed in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

BENEVOLENCE, SEEDFAITH AND KINGDOM INVESTMENT

BIBLE READING: MATTHEW 25:31-46; MATTHEW 13:44-46; HEBREWS 13:16

"As it is written, “He [the benevolent person] scatters abroad; he gives to the poor. His deeds of justice and goodness and kindness and benevolence will go on and endure forever!” And [God] Who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating will also provide and multiply your [resources for] sowing and increase the Fruits of your Righteousness [which manifests Itself in active goodness, kindness and charity]" 2Corinthians 9:9-10(AMP).

Benevolence is a quality of our life in Christ and not merely a matter of financial assistance. It involves a lifestyle of Love, Respect and Compassion. To fulfill our purpose to love others, (Matt. 22:39) we must consider ways to demonstrate that Love. Benevolence, the practical meeting of people’s needs, provides a means of loving others. On this premise, benevolence should be a priority for God’s people.

There are Five Major Biblical reasons to make Benevolence a priority:
(1.) God cares about the poor and oppressed: (Ps.10:14, 17-18; 35:10; 140:12;146:5-9; Prov. 22:2, 22-23)

(2.) What we do for the poor is likened to doing it for the Lord: (Prov. 17:5; 19:17; Matt. 25:31-46)

(3.) We see Benevolence modeled in the Old Testament: (Deut. 24:19-21)

(4.) Jesus’ Own Life is an Example of Benevolent Living for others: (2Cor. 8:9)

(5.) We find examples of its priority in the Early Church: (Acts 2:44-45; 4:32-37)

These reasons should motivate us to make benevolence a priority. However, let’s remember that God wants it to be more than merely fulfilling our duty. To Him, it’s about truly loving people: "If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing"(1Cor. 13:3). To provoke the Hand of God for prosperity, you must learn to invest into God’s Kingdom but you cannot invest in His Kingdom when you don’t have the Love of God in you. "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the First and Great Commandment. And the Second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two Commandments hang all the Law and the prophets" (Matt. 22:37-4. To be blessed financially, the first thing you must do is to love God first and not money 1Kgs. 3:3,13). It is your depth of your love for God that determines the level of your access to His Resources. To love God means to be naturally excited and committed to whatever involves Him. Everything about God ought to move you if you truly love Him.

Kingdom Investment is giving towards Missions which involves everything that has to do with Soul Winning and Discipleship (Zech. 1:17). When you start loving what God loves which is Soul winning and going after souls with all your resources, you place yourself on an Eternal Payroll of God. Before any need would arise, you will see the answer waiting for you because God will be interested in your own affairs.

PRAYER:

O Lord, please help us to continually express our Love to You from today so that our lives will turn around for good in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.
