POWER IN THE WORD OF A KING

BIBLE READING: ECCLESIASTES 8:4-5; JOHN 1:1-5,14; PSALM 29:1-9

"Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?" Ecclesiastes 8:4(KJV)

The Power of the Word gave Life to the Earth and everything that exists in it. Man himself was also created by the Word. This shows the Efficacy of the Word of God and the need to dwell on it continually. The Word of God is meant to be obeyed by all Christian believers because it is God Almighty Himself. (Jn. 1:1)p In fact, it is Jesus Christ Personified. There is so much Power embedded in the Word of God and if believers would understand it in this dimension, the battles of life would be easier. The Word of God is the Foundation of whatever exists in the world today because the world itself was made with a Mere Spoken Word of God. (Heb. 11:3) The firmament was created to divide the water on Earth and Heavens by the Same Word of God. The Word of God is the only Power that unleashes Salvation to sinners. It takes away sin and guilt from the supposedly condemned sinner.

The Word of God leads the sinner to freedom and is the Source of Faith to believers. It brings Healing to the sick and those who are downtrodden hence the first resort for every child of God who falls sick should be the Word of God. (Prov. 4:20-23) The Word of God is the Armour of the believer in Spiritual Warfare. (2Cor. 10:3-6) The True Riches are hidden in the Word of God and is a Source of Strength to the believer that enables him to go through difficult terrain unhurt. The Word of God nourishes the spiritual life of a believer and it helps him grow in the Lord. Failure in Christianity stems from abstinence from the Word of God. A disciplined believer who desires to grow and overcome the devil and his onslaught must read the Word always. (Ps. 119:9,11) Jesus Christ defeated the devil with the Word which is the Source of Victory to believers. (Rev. 12:11)

A king is a man who is the most important member of the royal family of his country and is often considered to be the Head of State of that country. One of the most striking features of kings is that they rule by decree. In the same vein, God gave believers Power to overcome all the power of the enemy and nothing shall harm us. (Lk. 10:19) Let us never forget that the Word of God in our mouths is just as powerful as the Word of God in His Own Mouth.

PRAYER:

O Lord, please help us to realize the Power and Authority we have as Christian believers and help us utilize it to its Fullness for Your Glory in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Dear Nigerians please I beg us...vote Peter Obi. We will be in a worse state if these other guys steal their way into Aso rock o. They have no clue how to salvage Nigeria.

I watched Okwute's ARISEtv interview on The Morning Show today...my Broda, it was indeed another Tour de Force by Peter Obi.

He talked about Flooding and need for the desilting of Rivers Niger & Benue. He told us the length of the River Nile in Egypt🙆‍♂️...and wondered why Nigeria has not drawn corresponding benefits from its own Rivers.

He talked about UN Habitat and how he engaged with them in Kenya for the benefit of urban renewal in Onitsha, Nnewi and Awka. He talked about his initiative and involvement in the formulation of the NEWMAP template that largely contributed to what is now known as the Ecological Fund...which is being looted today, unfortunately.

He talked about Agriculture and how to rework our approach to it...so as to drive the country to feeding itself and by so doing significantly increase its GDP and reduce Inflation...and for export. His understanding of what needs to be done is unbelievably clear and convincing.

He reiterated the fact that Fuel Subsidy is Organised Crime...wondering just how Pakistan with an exactly similar population like Nigeria and in fact a larger road network and higher number of vehicles will be consuming about 22m liters of petrol daily while Nigeria is said to be consuming 66m liters. This is simply mind blowing !

Meanwhile, BAT and Atiku are exchanging abuse...the one talking about part time President in Dubai and the other reposting about fake medical report. What a Pity!

If Nigeria 🇳🇬 and Nigerians do not VOTE for Peter Obi as President...then, know for certain that there are way too many Witches and Wizards in this Country !

SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI is a former CBN Governor, the 14th Emir of Kano and the Vice Chairman of Kaduna Investment Agency. It was an event to promote Kaduna State, organised by the Kaduna investment agency.

However, SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI took the Federal Government of Nigeria to the cleaners (see the slides as well).

23/24 mins : SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI speaks about CBN illegally printing money, with no corresponding dollar reserves. He likens this to Idi Amin’s Uganda, Mugabe’s Zimbabwe and Chavez’s Venezuela. He concludes that the fiscal and monetary policies that the FGN has pursued these last 7 years, have FAILED.

25 mins : SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI says that there is no country in the world where the bureau of statistics keeps announcing an increase of inflation and NOTHING happens. He talks of how rice went from N8,000 to N32,000 a bag.

SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI shows all that this does not make any sense at all. He shows that you need 2,000 tankers of 33,000 liters to be moving daily, to distribute 66 million liters a day.

SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI also remembers that in 2015, the Minister of State Petroleum, Emmanuel Kachikwu, gave the correct figure of 29 million liters a day. He says you can decide for yourself what magically happens (difference between 29 million liters a day and 66 million liters a day).

41.30 mins : SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI talks of transfer of public money to private pockets. The state exists for those who control the state to extract its resources.

SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI talks of debt service ratio to revenue in Nigeria, being astronomically high at 108%. So we borrow to finance to service debts, borrow to pay salaries, borrow to build roads, borrow for everything. He states that we are leaving a mountain of debts behind for our children (a legacy of debts).

41 mins : SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI states that we have no plans to change anything. We see the problem and want to continue??? He says he is sorry for the next President. He says that the Caribbean are crying that they spend 30% of their revenue servicing debts, but that we spend 108% of our revenue servicing debts, yet we are laughing and partying.

47.28 mins : SANISI LAMIDO SANUSI says that NNPC is NOT a cash cow, rather, its is a MONEY PIT!!! He says that we should unbundle NNPC, disband it, collect our royalties and replace it by implementing the PIB.

49 mins : SANISI LAMIDO SANUSI ends all by saying that he is the Vice Chairman of the Kaduna Investment Agency and that States should assume that they are getting nothing from the center, should build their own power plant, invest in education and attract investments.

SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI -- closes his speech by saying the next president should audit NNPC and tell them to go and bring evidence for all subsidies alleged to have been paid, when and where did the ships come in and VERIFY the cargo that they brought in, with global insurance and global ships registers.

Then, he stepped down from the stage, greeted the Governor of Kaduna and some VIPs .

A 16-year-old Nigerian boy ran away from his mother's rented home in Lagos after she told him to apologise to their landlord.

Before now, the boy had complained to his mum that the landlady and her husband insult him everytime without any reason.

He has not been found since last week.

THE ROLE OF THE FAMILY IN NATION BUILDING

BIBLE READING: PROVERBS 22:6; DEUTERONOMY 6:6-8; PSALM 71:17-18

"Train up a child in the Way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

The family is the bedrock of our society. Strong families build strong communities which in turn can build a strong nation. The family is the smallest unit of any society. It is the very foundation on which is the society is built. The family is regarded by all as the basic social unit. It esentially comprises of father, mother and children. In most cases there are relatives from the extended family, maids, and servants. The family which is the nucleus and citadel of learning has it own virtues which make or mar the nation at large. God fearing parents generally beget God fearing children. Diligent responsible parenting always begets diligent responsible children. A tree is known by it's fruits: "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." (Matt. 7:2

To build a formidable nation, attention must be given from the foundation of the people that formed the nation which is the family. In a family the parents have the responsibility to train their children. One of the ways to building a formidable nation is training our children in the ways of God i.e., Morals, Values and Principles. Parents must understand that what their children become is dependent on the kind of training they have received. The best training you can give your children is to instill Godly and Christian Principles in them.

The following are some of the ways to training your children:
(1.) Bring your children up in the Lord: You must know what you are investing in and put in your best efforts. What your children become should reflect you as a person. (Eph. 6:4) Teach your child to fear the Lord and serve Him.
(2.) Your Environment trains your children more than you do: The community your children live in and the school they attend influences them even more than their parents. You must make efforts to control their environment. Discipline and reprimand your children when necessary. To build a formidable nation with Moral Integrity and Moral Values, the Standard of God Almighty for every generation must stand. (2Tim. 2:19-21)

This can only be achieved through responsible parenthood in our families.

Abba Father, we ask for the Enabling Grace to help us train our children in Your Ways which will build our nation to Your Glory in Jesus' Name. Amen.
