Once you're an adult, you only get about 6 or 7 decades. Is this mission worth one of those precious decades? If so, all you need is time. If you don't, stop wasting it. 2️⃣ The second thing... TEAM, TEAM, TEAM Nothing will sway your outcomes more than WHO you choose to align with In business and in life: The best decisions you make will be people The worst decisions you make will be people Steve Jobs once said the product he was most proud of making was "THE TEAM" and I feel the same way I now have 100+ people behind me at FLIGHTSTORY who are truly the champions league of this industry - bound by obsession, detail orientation, and unapologetically hard-working to the point that you'd probably call us all toxic and we'd probably take that as a compliment 🤷🏽‍♂️ 3️⃣ The last thing... Don't take it all so seriously... As a creator, you exist in a constant storm of feedback - praise, criticism, advice, attacks, all of it coming at you 24/7 This sounds weird, but one of the most clarifying thoughts that's helped me deal with the feedback is realising that I'm going to die someday, and that day is relatively soon There's something about understanding that this is just a moment in time - accepting the paradox that your impact has very real consequences now, but at the same time, in the grand scheme of the grand scheme, you're going to be nothing more than a memory in a few loved ones minds - that liberates you from worry and enables you to do YOU with all of your heart Thank you for enabling me & 100+ of my team here in the UK to have a job we love just by tuning in and supporting us. WHY I AM DOING THIS FROM THE BASICS... Hey Everyone, I am sure that many people have seen some of the images and videos that I have been using "A.I" to generate. ? For example, when I wanted to start doing Web Design, as a business, many people always "expected" me to do it only on WordPress, because that's the platform they are used to, and which they consider the most popular. 🧐🧐 They were not interested in whether I had other preferences, or whether there were other ways of getting it done, with greater efficiency, speed or better quality. 🧐🧐🧐 I knew that the basics still existed, the likes of HTML/CSS/JS, I knew that other Website builders besides WordPress could do a better, more efficient Job, and I "chose" to learn about them. You may ask WHY? 🤔🤔🤔🤔 Here's why - BEFORE WordPress: 👇👇👇👇 there was Basic HTML--> front Page on Windows ---> Macromedia's Dreamweaver + Adobe Flash ---> the L.A.M.P Model ---> WordPress AFTER WordPress No Code Platforms like Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, Builderall, Bubble and many others. Each day, more efficient and better ways, more efficient and better technology come up to help you do the same thing, but in a better way. 🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐 IF you have spent any reasonable amount of time in Tech, you would always understand that there are BASICS, and then there are multiple ways of getting the same, or better results. I Today, will eventually give way to future tech, which will be far better, much easier and much more efficient ways of doing it. 👉But the knowledge of the BASICS will remain important.👈 HTML is still important in the world of website design and development, the same way a basic knowledge of design principles is essential, whilst using Figma, or even Canva. 😊😊😊😊 So, whilst I am learning, and building up skills in the basics of A.I, I will make mistakes, the "output" will not be perfect, and you will have many reasons to laugh at me for looking "silly"... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 But, when i become proficient, i will have 10 different ways and platforms, that i can use in getting beautiful and awesome results. No scrolling, no calls. Just be. 💡 Learn to say NO , You don’t have to be everything for everyone. Boundaries = peace. 💡 Sleep, but the right kind; Create a routine. No caffeine at night. No phones in bed. 💡 Move your body , A walk, dancing, or stretching. Movement boosts mental clarity. 💡 Talk about it , You’re not weak. You’re human. Taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body. Ironically, a friend suggested I write about malaria prophylaxis on Friday, and by Saturday night, malaria showed up as if to remind me, “Hey, you haven’t done anything in a while to prevent me!” 😅 Let’s talk malaria prophylaxis because it matters, especially for people living with sickle cell disease (PLWSCD). What is Malaria Prophylaxis? Malaria prophylaxis refers to preventive measures, especially medications, taken to reduce the risk of contracting malaria. While it doesn’t offer 100% protection, it significantly lowers your chances of infection, which is particularly crucial in malaria-endemic areas. Why is it Vital for People Living with SCD? PLWSCD face higher risks of severe malaria complications such as: Life-threatening anemia Cerebral malaria Acute chest syndrome Malaria accelerates the destruction of red blood cells (both sickled and normal), leading to haemolysis; something that already occurs more frequently in sickle cell patients. It’s like adding salt to an already open wound. This can trigger a crisis, cause a drastic drop in haemoglobin, and further worsen anemia. Malaria also impairs the bone marrow’s ability to produce new red blood cells, making recovery even more difficult. That’s why malaria in PLWSCD is far more than just "a fever"; it’s a serious threat.
