Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said in a statement on X that the country’s military conducted “intelligence-based, selective operations” against seven camps and hideouts belonging to the Pakistan Taliban, also known as Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and its affiliates. An affiliate of the Islamic State group was also targeted in the border region, it said. Israeli forces have killed at least nine Palestinians since dawn in new attacks across Gaza, medical sources told Al Jazeera. The number of Israeli violations of the US-brokered “ceasefire” now stands at 1,620, according to Gaza’s Government Media Office. Earlier, the Israeli military launched several attacks on southern Lebanon, targeting what it called warehouses used by Hezbollah. Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza has killed at least 72,051 people and wounded 171,706 since October 2023.
