The president described the attack as “barbaric and unacceptable,” assuring Nigerians that “this violence must end now.”

According to the Presidency, the newly formed Benue Peace Committee will include community leaders, security officials, and peace advocates, with a clear mandate: restore calm and prevent future bloodshed.
