Chief of Staff to Akwa Ibom State Governor mourns brother's demise


Chief of staff to Gov. Udom Emmanuel, Mr. Ephraim InyangEyen has mourned the demise of his brother and family head, late chief Okon Akparawa inyangeyen, JP.

The late inyangeyen transited to glory at the age of 63.

The CoS Inyangeyen, however described his late brother as a man of integrity who never compromised his standards and a strict disciplinarian.

"My late brother was a man of great quality. A God fearing, community leader, dedicated and peace loving. A man who deprived himself the pleasures of life to ensure that others are well taken care of. He was a man with a large heart of supporting within his ability", inyangeyen said.

According the release by the family, activities for the funeral arrangements will commence tomorrow, Sunday 5th September with the opening of mourning house at the deceased compound which will last till Thursday, 9th September, while Friday, 10th September is the service of songs and shall be concluded with the burial ceremony on Saturday, September 11, 2021, in Ikot Ebiere, Onna local government area.

Late Chief Okon Inyangeyen, a retired Head Master and a one time Education Secretary in Eket Local Government Area will be laid to rest on Saturday, 11th September , 2021.

The funeral/thanksgiving service will be conducted by Christian Methodist Episcopal church, Ikot Ebiere by 10am at community secondary commercial school, Ikot Ebiere, Onna local government area. Akwa Ibom state.

Chief Inyang-Eyen is survived by his aged mother; his wife, Mrs Evelyn Okon Akparawa, eight children, seven grandchildren, and sisters and brothers including Retired Hon. Justice Ufot Akparawa Inyang, and the Chief of Staff to Governor Udom Emmanuel, Obong Ephraim Akparawa Inyang-Eyen.

The family enjoins friends and sympathizers to witness the funeral.
