*EXERCISE YOUR SPIRITUAL MUSCLES*

*BIBLE READING: ACTS 3:1-10*

*"And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”* Mark 16:17-18(NKJV)

Our passage today captures the first spectacular miracle performed by Christ’s disciples after His departure. Since Jesus was no longer with the disciples when this miracle took place. We live today under the same circumstance as the disciples at the time of this miracle. What they did then should therefore be common occurrence among us today especially in this season of a global awakening.

The lame man at the Beautiful Gate saw Peter and John as they were about to go into the temple and asked alms from them. They responded thus: *“And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, "Look at us." So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”* (Acts 3:4-6).

What easily captures the attention of discerning hearts is the level of boldness and confidence with which Peter spoke of what the disciples had inherited from Christ. Peter dispensed healing and restoration to the lame man as easily as he would have dipped his hands into his pocket and given the man a piece of coin or currency note.

The same Holy Spirit that lived inside Peter then lives inside you today. The same name of Jesus that Peter invoked then is available to us today. All you need is to believe in the simplicitly of that name as Peter did and you will achieve the same results that he did. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

Exercise your spiritual muscles in this season by adding consistent prayer, studying of the Word and the recommended books to your fast. We are in a new season and to achieve the miraculous, you must not be afraid of failing or taking steps of Faith because the Lord will honour your Faith.

*PRAYER POINTS

• Pray for revelation of the enormity of the power of the Holy Spirit that you carry within you.

• Pray that Christians will arise in boldness worldwide and deploy the power of the Holy Spirit.

*CONFESSION
