PROPHETIC CONNECTION (1)

BIBLE READING: EXODUS 19:4; DEUT. 32:10-11

Ye have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bare you on the eagles' wings, and bought you unto myself Exodus 19: 4(KJV).

He found him in a desert land, and in the howling wilderness; He led him about, he instructed him, He kept him as the apple of his eye. As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on the wing: Deut.32:10-11(KJV).

God carried the Israelites on eagle's wings when He brought them out of Egypt, that eagle was Moses. God used the eagle to represent the ministry of a prophet. The eagle has: an uncanny ability to carry weight, very strong visual acuity, foresight, and can live for up to 70 years.

When God brings a prophet into your life, he helps you gain insight, gives you prophetic direction, and carries you in the spirit. A prophet is endowed by God to carry unusual grace to enable God's people enter their inheritance. Concerning King Uzziah and his relationship with prophet Zechariah, 2 Chro. 26:4-5 says, "And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah did. And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper."

Connecting with the prophet God has authorized for your life will cause you to prosper beyond measure. As long as an electrical appliance is rightly connected to the source of power, it will stay on and function properly. A mighty turn around can happen in your life through the ministry of the sent man from God to you. Hosea 12:13 says, "And by a prophet the Lord bought out Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved."

The deliverance and preservation of any group of people is dependent on the prophet God has designated to them. God used Moses to deliver about three million people out of Egypt, but very few of them made it to the promised land. They disconnected from the preserving ministry of Moses, as a result, they couldn't take full hold of all that God had for them. 2 Kings 2:19-22, describes how the men of the city of Jericho approached Elisha over the economic situation in the land; the land was barren, and the water was bad. Just a pronouncement from the mouth of the prophet turned the economy of the nation around.

The prophetic ministry of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo made the people complete the rebuilding of the temple after they returned from Babylon. In the face of fierce opposition the work prospered (Ezra 5:1). When you sustain a vibrant relationship with your prophet, you are able to achieve in a short period, what would have taken longer to achieve. 2Chro. 20:20(NKJV) says, "...Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall established; believe his prophets, and you shall prosper."

Look into your life, is there any area where you need divine intervention? Connect to your prophet by sowing a seed into his life and see that situation turnaround.

PRAYER:
Father, I ask that my eyes be opened to rightly discern the prophet you sent to my life, that I may honour and rightly esteem him in Jesus name, Amen.
