*BUILD A TEAM*

*BIBLE READING: 1CORINTHIANS 12:20-25*

*“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; but how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (NKJV).‬*

The wisdom of pulling resources and working together was first demonstrated by the Trinity in the execution of creation and specifically illustrated during the formation of man – *“Then God said, “Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth.” Genesis 1:26(AMP).* God did not create man to be independent but to be dependent on Him and work together with other men in exercising the dominion mandate.

God gives a vision to one man but He never expects the man to carry it out alone because God also sends men that will help fulfill the vision. The magnitude of God’s vision is often bigger than our human capacity. Therefore, any vision that you can successfully carry out alone without the help of God or partnership with men is not from God. God is a team player that is why He is called Trinity; the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In Genesis 1:26, He said let “Us,” which confirms that the work of creation was not unilateral. Even down to the salvation of mankind, the Godhead was involved.

When God gave Moses the assignment of bringing the children of Israel out of Egypt, He sent Aaron and Miriam with him. When Christ came He raised a team of twelve men which He groomed for 3 years and they became Apostles that turned the world upside down.

Has God given you an assignment or are you working on a project? You must trust Him for a team of destiny helpers who will help you accomplish the vision. In order to build a team, you must pray like Jesus did and call them forth in the place of prayer (Luke 6:12-13). However, certain factors such as: Motives, Attitudes, Values, Convictions and the Character of the potential team mates must be critically considered. Make sure you are going in the same direction with anyone that will be on your team. Your association can make or mar you because a team is as strong as its weakest link. A good team provides wise counsel, support, encouragement and protection for the visionary who directs the team.

In providing disruptive solutions in this data and technology driven age, partnerships instead of sole proprietorships should be utilized as illustrated in the adage; “To go fast you go alone but to go far you go together.” A combination of diverse resources like: skills, finances, networks and platforms should be deployed not only in business endeavors but also in fulfilling the great commission as commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ.

*PRAYER
Father, in the name of your Holy Son Jesus, send me destiny helpers, men and women who will help me accomplish the vision and the great commission which you have committed into my hands. Amen!
