*THE GOD YOU SERVE WILL DELIVER AND HONOUR YOU*

*BIBLE READING: DANIEL 3:15-20; 6:16-22; 2TIMOTHY 4:16-18*

*Now if you are ready at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, and you fall down and worship the image which I have made, good! But if you do not worship, you shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you from my hands? Daniel 3:15 (NKJV).*

The Church is at a crossroads in the face of this global crisis. Our faith is being called to test that will make God known in our generation or He becomes like one of the gods the heathens serve. Our stand for God will usher in the global awakening for the harvest of souls that has been prophesied. The greatest battle between light and darkness is raging before us both spiritually and physically.

In Daniel 3, the king of Babylon erected a statue and enacted laws that will legalize statue worship, if you chose not to worship the statue, the law will come after you carrying a death penalty. What transpired in the land of Babylon millennia ago is here with us. Even though the physical Babylon is not here again, the political, economic, social, technological, environmental and legal Babylonian systems and structures orchestrated by the powers of darkness are aggressively pushing their agenda that excludes the God of the Bible from human affairs. The three Hebrews: Shedrach, Meshach, and Abednego, stood defiantly before the king at the cost of their lives.

In Daniel 6, a bill was passed against prayers except you pray to the king (government) for thirty days. You cannot pray both publicly and privately, any attempt to do so will land you in the lion's den. The enemy knows that once you can pray, you can be delivered. To take prayers out of the way makes a saint exposed to satanic onslaughts. Are we going to stand like Daniel and his three friends to defy the laws of government and stand for and with God, though the cost is enormous?

Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 4:16-18, encouraged his protégé to be resolute in the face of persecution, that God will surely deliver those who trust in Him. As nations are making laws that are anti-God, and anti-church, the cost of being a disciple is not going to get cheaper. Today public praying is in danger, tomorrow private prayers maybe too. Can you believe that God still delivers those who trust in Him?

*PRAYER
Lord, may I be enabled by your grace and mercy to stand true to my faith in You.

*CONFESSION
For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
