*DIVINE GUIDANCE; A PATHWAY TO SUCCESS*
*BIBLE READING: JOHN 6:63; ACTS 11:27-30*
*I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Psalm 32:8(NKJV).*
If we all could see the end of a thing before we start it, then we would make little or no mistakes and failures on our journey to attaining such a thing. The good news is that we have a God that knows the end of a thing before it begins, Isaiah 46:10(NKJV); *Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure.'*
God is always willing to guide us, but He won't decide for us. The power of decision He has left with us. God guides us in various ways, all we need is to be sensitive to His leading. Two of the most important ways God guides us are:
1) God guides us through His Word: Psalm 119:105 (NKJV); *Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light unto my path.* The word of God shines the light upon every dark areas so that things that were seemingly hidden from you will be made known; when there is light along your path, it becomes difficult to collide with obstacles. Joshua1:8 says; *This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.* This scripture guarantees success after the word has been thought on and applied. 2 Peter 1:19 (KJV) says, *We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts.* You should be full of God's word as it will guide you in all endeavours - Colossians 3:16 (NKJV); *Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.*
2) God guides us through His Spirit (The inward witness): The Holy Spirit is there to guide us for He is so gentle and won't force Himself on us. John16:13 (AMP); *But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth [full and complete truth]. For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future].* Wouldn't it be wonderful to know the future? You cannot know what is in the future and still fail except you neglect the insight. *Romans 8:14 (AMP); For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.*
God does not want us to go through life alone, He is stretching out His hands to hold us every step of the way. Just trust and obey.
*PRAYER
•Ask the Lord for divine direction and guidance.
•Ask that the Lord will cause you to be sensitive when He speaks to you through His word or the Holy Spirit.
*CONFESSION
I do not walk like someone who is confused, the Lord leads me in all my endeavours and causes my path to shine brighter and brighter.
