*CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS, CHANGE YOUR WORLD*

*BIBLE READING: PROVERBS 23:7*

*"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect Will of God."(Romans 12:2).*

Apart from the Power of the Holy Spirit, the next most potent weapon any believer should have in his arsenal is a renewed mind, without which the Lord cannot do much (Philemon 14). In essence, the greatest hindrances and limitations any Christian can face are often internal, particularly in the mind. Your world without will never change until your world within changes first of all.

Man is a tripartite being, meaning that he is a spirit with a soul living in a body (1Thess. 5:23). The soul of man, which is the seat of his personality, is also tripartite in constitution i.e. the mind, the will and the emotions. The thoughts of a person are birthed in the heart or human spirit, processed in the mind and articulated through the mouth. What this means is that your thoughts are your unspoken words while your words are your spoken thoughts. A man's thoughts are often a reflection of his values, perception and paradigm, consequently, our thoughts speak volumes about who we really are. The plain truth is that a man's life travels in the direction of his most predominant thoughts.

In view of these glaring truths, we would do well to take note of one of the most important laws of success: Sow a thought and reap a word, sow a word and reap an action, sow an action and reap a habit, sow a habit and reap a character, sow a character and reap a destiny. Basically, the quality of your thoughts directly affect the quality of your life.

In the realm of the Spirit, thoughts are actually much louder than spoken words, thus, their importance to God. The famous character Basi from the late Ken Saro Wiwa's play "Basi and Company" would always say, "If you want to be a millionaire, think like a millionaire." How true those words have proven to be. What are your most prominent thoughts? What occupies your mind all the time? A wise man once said, "Small minds discuss people, average minds discuss events while great minds discuss ideas." Every discussion was born from a thought so it behoves us to carefully examine our thoughts if we want to see a desired change in our lives.

In Isaiah 55:8, The Lord declared that His thoughts are not our thoughts. When we decide to meditate on God's thoughts through our fellowship with Him, our own thoughts become transformed, thereby leading to the transformation of our world. The Lord grant us understanding of this truth.

*PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I exalt You for being Who You are. O Lord, I ask that You captivate my heart and mind that I may articulate Your thoughts. Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Your Sight in Jesus' Mighty Name.

*CONFESSION
My thoughts are building blocks of my life; my life will always travel in the direction of my most predominant thoughts.
