The greatest gift you can offer yourself is to forgive people, no matter what they did to you.

This does not mean you accept their behavior.
It does not mean you trust them, after all, once bitten, as they say, twice shy.

You forgive them for the sake of your peace of mind.

You forgive them so that your mind can be free to focus on what is important in your life.

You forgive them to let go of bitterness. Bitterness is a cancer of the soul.

Keep a distance from those who do not add value to your life but, hold no grievance against them.

Allow no man to belittle your soul by making you hate him.
