IPOB Denies Burning Down Late Ohanaeze Ndigbo President's Home

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPO has refuted allegations that it was responsible for setting the country home of Ohanaeze Ndigbo’s former President, the late Prof. George Obiozor, on fire. Emma Powerful, IPOB's spokesperson, said the claim made by Damian Okeke-Ogene, Ohanaeze Ndigbo's Vice President General, was concocted and unfounded. Powerful stressed that neither the deceased nor any of his family members had ever accused IPOB of the heinous act. He said that IPOB members were neither hoodlums nor terrorists and had no record of burning down people's homes. Powerful noted that the group had never been in any confrontation with Obiozor and questioned how they could have burned his house. He accused Okeke-Ogene of making himself an enemy of IPOB and warned him to desist from using the group's name for his political interests.
