UK to Indict Tinubu for Sponsoring and Inciting Tribal Hatred

The United Kingdom police and other international bodies are close to indicting Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, the 2023 APC presidential candidate, for sponsoring tribal hatred and threatening ethnic cleansing.
The British Police have established irrefutable links through financial audits and statements that Tinubu sponsored ethnic discord and hatred through Adeyinka 'Grandson' Soyemi who was convicted and sentenced to five years in jail earlier this year in London.

Adeyinka Grandson had called for genocide against Igbos, the largest immigrant community across the Yoruba Southwest region, especially in Lagos, Nigeria's commerical capital of 25 million people estimated to be the home of 8 million Igbos, about a third of Lagos population. It has been shown that not only did Tinubu sponsor Adeyinka's demagoguery but his supporters continue to use his statements after his imprisonment.
The history of tribal hatred can be traced back to the 1967 Civil War in which millions died, and Igbos fled from Lagos and across Nigeria in the fear of ethnic genocide.
Unfortunately, ethnic genocide and ethnic struggles for power continue to be strong destructive factors in the post colonial Africa. And recently, Nigeria ethnic and political tensions have heightened to the pre-Civil War era and Tinubu and the ruling party are believed to be responsible.

Reliable sources also revealed that some UN bodies have grave concerns over the prospects of a Rwanda type genocide against Igbos in Lagos, Tinubu's stronghold, running up to the 2023 Presidential elections in which an Igbo candidate, Peter Obi is predicted to defeat Mr. Tinubu.
Working in tandem with the British Police, investigations have revealed that far beyond Adeyinka Grandson, Tinubu has been inciting ethnic hatred through supporters, including his wife, Remi Tinubu, a senator, also known to have made public statements calling for harm against Igbos that majorly support the rival party, PDP.

According to Paul Smith, one of the Investigators, investigations have revealed the complicity of the Lagos State government that has been under Tinubu control since he served two four year terms from 1999.
The incumbent Governor Sanwolu, a Tinubu political godson, accused of being responsible for the state sanctioned killing of peaceful EndSars youth protestors of all tribes at Lekki tollgate, a Lagos surbub in 2022, is also believed to be using the state institutions to collectively punish Igbos by destroying and closing Igbos markets.

A few days ago, a mob led by thugs loyal to Tinubu attacked Igbos in major markets across Lagos, headed by his daughter, and the Governor responded by closing Africa's largest electronics market.
Running up to the 2015 presidential elections, the Lagos monarch enthroned by Tinubu publicly called for Igbos living in his domain to be drowned in the Lagos Lagoon if they refuse to vote for Tinubu's party. Nigeria's new electoral laws have proposed stiff sentences for those using tribal and religious hatred for campaign, but Tinubu being the national leader of the ruling party APC is not likely to be prosecuted by Buharis weak and irresponsive government.

The extensiveness of tribal voter intimidation, likened to what witnessed in Mississippi and Southern USA before the 1960s Civil Rights Bills, and before that the German Nazi genocide of Jews has raised calls for caution in Tinubu's indictment in order not to appear be partisan running up to the election.
Some quarters have advised the law enforcement agencies to wait but be prepared for the attacks, while some raise the alarm that it might be too late to save millions of lives.
British and other foreign diplomats are reported to have privately spoken directly to Tinubu to tone down the anti-Igbo rhetoric and embrace more inclusive politics to no avail.

The British government is cautioning the London Police at the verge of issuing arrest warrants for Tinubu and others through Interpol to be wary of being labelled as foreign or colonial interference in the February 2023 elections.
They would rather call for the protection of Igbos under United Nations Charter for Universal Rights inspired by the Jewish Genocide. Ironically Igbos are labelled the Jews of Africa for their migrant business practices and believe they are Black Jewish descendants.
It has been alleged that Tinubu being a Muslim, with his vice presidential candidate also a Muslim, which is unprecedented in Nigeria's political balance, sees the predominantly Chirstian Igbos as a threat to his presidential ambitions.

The dicey situation has called for restraint till December to see whether Tinubu supporters further escalate the ethnic and religious tensions, but the recent Alaba Market attacks have heightened anxieties and calls for immediate preventive action based on evidence of Tinubu's sponsorhip of the convicted Adeyinka Grandson and other public statements and actions.
If the ethnic hatred and intimidation persists and more deaths are recorded, an extradition process would be set in motion to have Tinubu extradited to either London or the International Court of Justice to face charges for inspiring racial hatred and genocide that could attract a life sentence, according to a source close to the Interpol division on ethnic violence and genocide.

However, if the actions are too late or too little to prevent ethnic genocide, the UN pushed by the British would have to send peacekeeping forces to protect the minorities from genocide in Lagos with a population higher than that of Rwanda.
