Brunella Oscar: I Sent Williams Uchemba DM. Holy Spirit Revealed He's My Husband

Brunella Oscar, the recently wedded wife of actor Williams Uchemba has told the world how she met him.

In an exclusive interview with Wedding Digest Naija, the U.S-trained medical doctor revealed she sent him a Direct message on Facebook after the Holy Spirit Revealed to her he is her husband.

According to Brunella:

It was the evening of 22nd November 2016 when I was scrolling down on Facebook and randomly came across a video of a guy (Williams) preaching the gospel and advising the young people on the path to follow in life. The video was about 15 mins long but 30 seconds into the video I heard a voice saying “This is my husband!”

I had no idea who this guy was, never even heard of his name before but I felt the urge to message him on FB messenger just to encourage him to do more and never give up on his passion
I immediately clicked on his name, noticed it was a “fan page” but didn’t think too much of it because i thought that maybe he was a motivational speaker of some sorts. So I messaged him but I was not expecting a reply.

At the time I had just started my MSc. Degree 2 months ago and I vividly remember going to uni the next day all happy and smiling, telling all my friends that I had met my husband the night before. My friends can bear me witness because they thought I was crazy when I narrated the circumstance surrounding my statement (bearing in mind I hadn’t got a reply yet!)

https://www.instagram.com/p/CH....pISH7AU_i/?igshid=m1

That afternoon , 23rd November I surprisingly got a reply from him but all he said was: “Thanks! Where are you from?”
To me that was a very blunt answer but I replied by saying where I was from, and then asked him the same question.

His reply “ I am from that state your mother doesn’t want you to marry from” . As I didn’t know what he meant I told him so and eventually he told me where he was from.

He then asked me for my age which I told him to guess, and he guessed right. He then gave me his number and asked me to message him on WhatsApp since there was a lot of traffic on his Messenger.

That same night he video called me and we spoke for hours, and every subsequent night after that too.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CH....pL--JgV-8/?igshid=pl

We video called each other a lot, we got to know each other more and more which was fun and easy because we felt like we’ve known each other for 10 years or more. We clicked instantly and I didn’t want to scare him off by saying “oh by the way the Holy Spirit told me you’re my husband” . I just let the friendship grow naturally and patiently waited for God to reveal that to him Himself.

He told me a bit more about his work and passion for the less privilege and invited me to attend the next Winter edition of the Youth Assembly conference at the UN Headquarters in New York. We felt that would be a good platform to meet in person and hopefully see if we liked each other as much as we did over the phone. So 2 months after we started talking, now January 2017 , I went to NY and met him for the very first time.

It’s fair to say that we connected instantly and it was clear to us that we were each other’s missing piece in our lives. We only spent 1 week in NY but, it sure felt like we’ve known each other all our lives and, 4 years later....well the rest is history

12 ASPs In Police Convoy Kidnapped, Families Selling Properties To Pay Ransom

As shared by Bulama Bukarti @bulamabukarti, a Human Rights analyst:

BBC Hausa reports that twelve police officers (all ASPs) have been abducted by bandits. The wife of one of the officers told the BBC that her husband had phoned and instructed her to sell his house to raise ransom. She said she knows the families of eight other abducted officers.

That families of the officers are working to raise 800k each to rescue them. When the BBC contacted the Borno Police Command, from where the officers were deployed, they directed the BBC to the Katsina or Zamfara Commands. Both claimed to have no knowledge of the incident.

That officers were abducted together speaks volumes on the extremely scary situation developing in the northwest. If police officers in police convoy could be abducted, what more of ordinary Nigerians with no arms, training or equipment? It’s clear that we are playing with fire.

Mark Angel: Emanuella Has Money To Build Whatever She Wants To Build

House gift to my mom also belongs to my dad —Emanuella

Popular comedienne, Emanuella Samuel, says the early Christmas house gift to her mother also belongs to her father.

Social media has been abuzz since the 10-year-old comedienne announced last week that she built her mother a house.

“I built this for you mom. For all the prayers; all the encouragement and support. Mummy, I know you said you want a portable house and this is it. But forgive me because I must complete your mansion for you next year. Don’t worry, it won’t make us go to hell; my super Christmas mummy. I love you,” Emanuella had captioned photos of the house in a post on her Instagram account.

There have been comments from some social media users who were of the opinion that the young actress should also build a house for her father.

However, speaking on Monday in a PUNCH Facebook Live Interview, Emanuella said the house gift also belonged to her father.

She said, “I wanted to buy another car for my dad but Uncle Mark now told me to save more money and build the house that I promised my mom. So, I talked with my manager and they built the house and furnished it. See the house now, is it not fine?

“If it is for my mom, it is for everybody; it’s for my dad too. My dad is married to my mom. After all, they are living together.”

Emanuella attributed all that has been happening in her life to “God’s grace”.

“Everything is God’s grace. I never ‘experrit’. When God wants to use you, He will use you at the right time,” she noted.

Emanuella’s producer, Mark Angel, also said in the exclusive interview with The PUNCH that the young actress could afford to build the house.

He said, “Emanuella earns money, so she has money to build whatever she wants to build. She can afford it. Her management can afford it.”

The 10-year-old came into limelight with her funny skits which she posts on her social media accounts. The award-winning comedian is an ambassador to several brands.

FG May Reduce Minimum Tax Rate Next Year

The draft Finance Bill 2020 contains a proposal for the reduction of the minimum tax rate to be paid by companies next year in light of the current economic climate, according to the Fiscal Policy Reforms Committee.

The Fiscal Policy Reforms Committee, which was established by the Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, is chaired by the Special Adviser to the President on Economic Matters, Dr Adeyemi Dipeolu.

“In light of the current economic climate, it is proposed that the rate of minimum tax is reduced from 0.5 per cent to 0.25 per cent of gross turnover, for the period ending between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2021,” a document from the committee said.

It noted that the Finance Act 2019 changed the basis for computing minimum tax to 0.5 per cent of the gross turnover of the company.

Minimum tax is payable by companies having no taxable profits for the year or where the tax on profits is below the minimum tax.

However, companies in the first four calendar years of business, companies engaged in the agriculture business, or small companies are exempt from minimum tax, according to PricewaterhouseCoopers.

According to the committee, there is also a proposal to modify the definition for gross turnover.

“The definition of gross turnover in Finance Act 2019 did not explicitly clarify the scope of income to consider in determining the gross turnover of a company for minimum tax purposes,” it said.

It added that the revised definition would clarify any ambiguity in the categories of income that qualified as turnover for minimum tax purposes.

Dahiru Buba: Buhari Trekker Gets Car, N2 Million From Gombe Governor

16th November, 2020

New lease of life for Dahiru Buba, Dukku man who trekked from Gombe to Abuja for Buhari, as Governor Inuwa Yahaya doles out car, 2 million Naira cash to ardent APC loyalist

It is now a new lease of life for Dahiru Buba, the 50-year old native of Dukku Local Government who trekked from Gombe to Abuja in celebration of President Muhammadu Buhari's victory in 2015 and now suffering from limb ailment, as Gombe state Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya today in Abuja presented a Ford Galaxy ( sharon) Car and sum of two million Naira to the diehard APC supporter.

It will be recalled that the media was recently awash with the story of Dahiru Buba calling on the Government and public spirited individuals to come to his aid after he developed limb complications from a solidarity trek he undertook to celebrate the first term victory of the President.

The Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya had earlier directed that Dahiru Buba be taken to the Government House clinic for diagnosis from where he was later referred to a private orthopedic hospital where he was thoroughy examined and placed on medication.

Buba, a commercial driver met with Governor Inuwa Yahaya at the Gombe Governor's Lodge in Abuja.

He was accompanied by the member representing Dukku North Constituency in the state House of Assembly, Hon. Nasiru Abdulkarim and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Legislative Matters, Hon. Hamma- Adama Dottuwa Ali Kumo as well as other Assembly members and stalwarts.

Governor Yahaya while presenting the gifts said,
"For taking the pains and risks to show solidarity with Mr. President and our great party, people like Buba should not be neglected.

" By embarking on that solidarity trek, Dahiru Buba had shown patriotism and support, he should therefore be appreciated and encouraged".

"So on learning about his condition, first I directed that he should be taken to the hospital for proper medical attention and I am happy that he is now better after undergoing his first round of treatment ".

Secondly we are now capping it up with a support that we hope can sustain him. Since he is a Driver, we are giving him this Ford Galaxy Sharon so he can use it as commercial transport vehicle to sustain his livelihood. We are also giving him the sum of 2 million Naira cash to enable him purchase a house within his locality since I learnt he is a tenant. So as far as we are concerned in APC and in this administration, no genuine effort or sacrifice will go unrewarded no matter how long it takes".

" So on behalf of our dear President and our beloved party, we say a big thank you for your show of support and solidarity".

In his response, Malam Dahiru Buba, who was visibly emotional, expressed appreciation to Mr. President and Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for recognising him and coming to his aid.

He said even with his earlier challenges after he returned from his 15 day journey, his spirit had never been dampened in his love for the President and his party.

Buba promised to use the vehicle and the money judiciously, saying the gesture truly motivated and spurred him as a loyal party man and as a breadwinner of his family.

ESUT Set To Defy ASUU, Fixes Exam For November 30

Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has concluded plans to organise its semester examinations despite the ongoing strike action by members of the Academic Staff of Universities (ASUU).

The management of the university in a statement issued by Acting Registrar, Barr. T.M Ikpenwa disclosed that the examinations which were earlier billed to commence Monday, November 16 (today) have been postponed for a period of two weeks.

Ikpenwa said the postponement was informed by the need to address some technical issues and to afford more time for conclusion of classes and revisions.

He said, “Following the recent interactions with the students of the University, Management Committee held a meeting on Monday the 16th day of November, 2020 to deliberate on some outstanding technical issue required to be fully addressed to engender smooth conduct of the Examinations that were earlier scheduled to have commenced on the 16th day of November, 2020.

“After due deliberations on the issues raised therein and also, taking cognizance of the various needs to conclude both the tutorial classes and revisions in the interest of the students, Management thereafter, resolved to postpone the examinations by another two weeks. In other words, the Examinations will now commence on the 30th day of November, 2020 instead.

“By this development thereafter, the additional period of fourteen (14) days is to enable both the Lecturers and the students conclude any outstanding tutorial classes and revisions so as to achieve the envisaged hitch-free 2019/2020 First Semester Examinations appropriate.”

African News Today gathered the examinations which will be computer based will be coordinated by non-teaching staff of the university.

A student who spoke with our correspondent on the condition of anonymity expressed joy at the postponement, noting that the CBT will not permit students who are yet to pay their fees do the examination. The student said the shift will afford more time to offset the fees.

Recall that the university was among the first to conduct matriculation for its freshers even as others were battling with modalities for intake of new students.
