THY WILL BE DONE!
BIBLE READING: MATTHEW 6: 9-13
Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock. Ezekiel 36:33.
God's will is rarely done on earth. This is central to the autonomy of power given to man for earthly administration. From the foundation of the earth, God made it a law that only by man's permission will He (God) or any spirit being without a body interfere with earthly affairs. Thus, heaven can do nothing except earth calls. "Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you." Numbers 14:28. More so "Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Matthew 18:18.
God gave man a great deal of latitude to run the earth while He oversees from heaven. The Bible reveals this truth in Psalm 115:16, "The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men." You see!Having seen this truth, you then ask: how do we get God involved in our dealings? It is by prayer! Prayer is earthly license for heavenly intervention. When we pray, we get God involved. Therefore, God's will for you comes to pass through Prayer. Prayer is that powerful, for it is the means for divine intervention. This is why the Bible admonishes that we should: "Pray without ceasing." 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
It is God's will for you to have a great life. It is His will for you to fulfill destiny. It is His will for you to know Him Intimately. It His will for all men to come to the saving knowledge of Him. It is His will for your heart's desires to come through. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11. However, none of these will come into a fulfilling manifestation without you engaging God in a place of prayer. He has good plans for you, yet you have to give Him the permission. "Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded. Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock." Ezekiel 36:33, 37.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the authority we have in Christ, we ask that You invade the earth today, and establish Your counsel on earth as it is in heaven, in Jesus Name we pray.

TURN ON THE LIGHT
BIBLE READING: PROVERBS 8:10-24
Above all and before all, do this: Get Wisdom! Write this at the top of your list: Get Understanding! Throw your arms around her—believe me, you won't regret it; never let her go—she'll make your life glorious. Proverbs 4:7-8(MSG)
When you lack financial resources; you don’t have a vehicle, you don’t have accommodation; and you don’t have anything worthwhile to call your own, the first thing to get is light – the wisdom and illumination that comes from God. Once you get this, you can use it to get all other things.
When God did not have a place of abode, when He did not have planets, when He did not have angels, when He did not even have a throne, the first thing He had was light. Speaking in Proverbs 8:22-26, Wisdom said, “The LORD created me at the beginning of his work, the first of his acts of old. Ages ago I was set up, at the first, before the beginning of the earth. When there were no depths I was brought forth, when there were no springs abounding with water. Before the mountains had been shaped, before the hills, I was brought forth; before he had made the earth with its fields, or the first of the dust of the world” Prov. 8:22-26(NRSV).
Before He could do any of the awesome things He did at creation, the Almighty God needed wisdom. He needed the illumination that comes through revelation. That was why the very first thing God created was light. “Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light” (Genesis 1:3).
As you begin to draw or fine-tune your goals for the New Year, the very first thing you need to call forth is light. The light referred to here is revelation knowledge; wisdom and insight. You need these to make any meaningful progress. We have studied different kinds of prayers, it is time to engage in prayer and receive direction to execute in accordance with the will of God.
PRAYER POINTS:
•Pray that you will be spiritually and mentally alert in this New Year.
• Pray that angels be released now to guide you and guard you in all your ways all through the year.
CONFESSION:
Lord, the light of your word overpowers all darkness. Let your light shine in my heart and upon my ways.

HOW STRONG IS YOUR ALTAR?
BIBLE READING: 2 CHRONICLES 7:1-8
Therefore we said, 'It shall also come about if they say this to us or to our generations in time to come, then we shall say, "See the copy of the altar of the LORD which our fathers made, not for burnt offering or for sacrifice; rather it is a witness between us and you." Joshua 22:28
All spiritual transactions are carried out from altars. When you worship or pray, the incense from the personal altar in your heart rises to the altar at the throne of God in heaven, triggering off a traffic of angels that attend to your requests and supplications. You also make contact with God from family altars, territorial and congregational altars, all of which are established on physical locations on earth. Revelation 5:10 tells us that we have been made priests and kings unto our God and we shall reign on the earth. A priest is as strong as the altar backing him. The altar is as strong as the sacrifice upon it.
Many recall how God once appeared to Solomon and told him to request whatever he wanted God to do for him but many do not remember what Solomon did before God appeared to him. “And Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of meeting, and offered a thousand burnt offerings on it. On that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, "Ask! What shall I give you” (2 Chronicles 1:6-7).
When you want to attract the quick attention of heaven, your sacrifice on the altar can facilitate that. When you desire a prompt intervention of God in a difficult situation, your sacrifice upon the altar is paramount. When you are faced with danger and there seems to be no way of escape, drop a sacrifice on the altar. To show appreciation for God’s abiding goodness and favour, your sacrifice upon the altar is vital. Note that your sacrifice upon the altar is not there to bribe God or twist His arm, intimate personal relationship with Him counts most.
PRAYER POINT:
•Ask God who gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater to provide you a good sacrifice.
CONFESSION:
I resolve to make my altar the strongest it can be through intense worship, prayer and financial sacrifices.
