Jewish Worshippers Attending Nnamdi Kanu's Parents' Burial Detained By Soldiers
A combined team of Nigerian soldiers and police have allegedly abducted Jewish worshippers at Isiala-Ngwa Junction who were on their way to attend the burial ceremony of the parents of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPO Nnamdi Kanu, Eze Israel Okwu Kanu and his wife.

This is according to a post by Nnamdi Kanu on his verified Facebook page on Thursday.

He said, "Information reaching me now is that two buses conveying Jewish worshippers on their way to my hometown Isiama-Afaraukwu Ibeku, Umuahia Abia State for the funeral of my parents have been abducted at Isiala-Ngwa Junction by a combined team of Nigerian soldiers and police. They are currently being detained in their barracks".

The Abia State Police command had earlier in the day accused Nnamdi Kanu of importing strangers into Afara community to truncate the peace and stability currently enjoyed by the people.

The Force warned that any attempt to cause fear and panic in the People's mind will be resisted.

EGYPT FA AND LIVERPOOL AND CLASH OVER MO SALAH’S PARTICIPATION IN TOKYO 2020 OLYMPICS
Liverpool Football club and The Egyptian Football Association are at loggerheads after the Egyptian FA announced it will be adding star player Mo Salah to it’s list of players to participate in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Egypt qualified for the tournament after reaching the 2019 U23 Africa Cup of Nations final in 2019, and as they are able to call upon three over-aged players, Salah was picked by The Olympic team coach Shawky Gharib.

The men’s tournament is scheduled to run from July 24 to August 9, ensuring Liverpool’s current leading goalscorer would miss the Reds’ pre-season and the start of the 2020/21 Premier League season – which is set to kick off on August 9.

“Out of the three senior players we’ll call-up, Salah is the only one we’re settled on so far because he’s simply one of the top three players in the world,” Gharib said, explaining his decision.

“I haven’t talked to Salah at all about him joining the U23 squad for the Olympics, but in all honesty, his participation in the Olympics will need a little effort from him as well.”

The news has reportedly angered bosses at Liverpool, who believe Salah missing the pre-season will have a negative impact on Liverpool as he is essential to their play and is one of their main men.
Klopp previously said of the possibility of Salah going to the Olympics”

”No decision made yet. Nothing really to say about it. What I have to say to Mo I will say to him and not here (in this press conference). That’s all. No decision made from either side, that’s all I can say.

“I wish we could have the whole squad together for pre-season which is not possible for different reasons – the Euro’s coming up, Copa America again. Yes, Olympic Games – it’s a wonderful tournament but would be not so cool. So far, no decision and you have to wait a little bit.”

Following reports on Wednesday that Klopp might not let Salah go for the Olympics as FIFA has previously acknowledged that clubs are not obliged to release over-age players for the competition – Egypt’s under 23 boss Gharib released a new statement that Salah’s participation will be dependent on Liverpool and Salah:

“Salah’s participation with the Pharaohs team is a decision to be taken only by Salah, his club Liverpool and his coach Jurgen Klopp.

“I have chosen him in an expanded list of 50 players. The final list of 18 players will be submitted next June.”

On Wednesday Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa tweeted: “No decision has been made yet.”

Jehovah is a song for those who think that they are at their wit's end. 7 times a righteous man may fall but he also rises 7 times.
When you feel there is no other place to go, go to the rock that is higher than you.

Have you failed before, in your family, business, career? Come to Jehovah and start again. He's got your back!

Idah Peterside: I Slept With Virgins For Money Ritual, Had Meetings With Snakes
Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Idah Peterside has recounted how the unquenchable hunger for money and fame led him into the horrible world of occultism.

The former Super Eagles’ player turned pastor, Idah Peterside, made the confessions on Ifeanyi Udeze’s diary via Brila FM, on Tuesday morning.

Peterside told Udeze that he had an unquenchable hunger for money and fame, which led him into the horrible world of occultism.

“It was so bad for me that I even went into demonic worship; I was involved in occultism and people didn’t know,” he said.

“I did all that because I wanted money and fame which were not coming. My case was so bad that I used to have meetings with snakes. Mine was top class; it was crazy.”

The pastor also revealed that his major activity was to ‘initiate’ women by sleeping with them, especially virgins.

“What actually took me to the next level in occultism was dependent on the number of women I slept with because my covenant was to initiate women.

“I didn’t sleep with them for love or any relationship; my mission was just to initiate them and move on,” he explained.

Crude Oil Discovered In North East (1 Billion Barrels) - Timipre Sylva

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, said that about one billion barrels of crude oil have been discovered in Northeastern part of Nigeria.

Mr Sylva made the disclosure at a news Conference to end the 2020 Nigeria International Petroleum Summit, NIPS, in Abuja on Wednesday.

“The figure we are getting, the jury is not totally out yet but from the evaluation results we are getting the reserve that has been discovered in the northeast is about a billion barrels.

“Those are the kind of figures we are seeing and we are beginning to understand the geological structure of the region,” he said.

According to him, a lot of oil is yet to be found in the country.

He added that there was need for more exploration in the country as more oil would be discovered.

Commenting on passing of the Petroleum Industry Bill, PIB, by June, he said that he was confident that it would be passed based on cordial relationship between the legislature and the executive.

“We are banking on the fact today to make that promise on the fact that there is a very cordial relationship now between the legislature and executive.

“Today Nigerians all agree that there is a need for us to pass the PIB.

“For so long we have been quivering about the PIB, for more than 20 years. And for so long, we have not been able to attract a lot of investment into the oil sector.

“Let me give you an example, by the year 2002, our oil reserves stood at around 22 billion barrels. We were able to grow that reserve from 22 billion barrels to 37 billion barrels by 2007.

“From 2007 to now, we have only been able to grow our reserves from 37 billion barrels to 37.5 billion barrels, in more than 10 years. Why? Not much investment is coming into Nigeria,” he added.

He noted that investors could not invest in Nigeria if the fiscal framework was shaking or uncertain.

“If nobody knows when laws will be passed, nobody will want to invest new capital in Nigeria. And that is why you see that we have almost been stagnant in the Nigerian oil industry.

So, we believe today that there is a consensus among all of us – industry, Nigerians and government – that there is a need to stabilise the fiscal framework so that investors will be certain and move their money to Nigeria.

“There are very great opportunities in Nigeria, and I believe if we can only stabilise the fiscal framework and bring peace to Nigeria, investments will flow into Nigeria.

“That is really what gives me the confidence to say that there is a consensus now among all patriotic Nigerians that in six months the PIB will be passed,” he added.

On revamping of the refinery, he said that rehabilitation of Port Harcourt refinery would start in the first quarter of 2020.

“We are going to start the rehabilitation of the port Harcourt refinery which is the biggest refinery in Nigeria, if we are able to finish the port Harcourt refinery we would have achieved a lot as a government.

“Meanwhile we are also continuing with studies around Warri refinery, we are also continuing discussions around Kaduna refineries,” he said.
