Chioma Ifeanyi-Eze shared:
WILL CUSTOMERS BE WILLING TO PAY MORE FOR EXCELLENCE?
Two days ago, I found out about a premium cleaning company that serves only very meticulous people.
The team are trained to raise objects, clean and return them exactly the same way they found them.
Their sense of arrangement and thorough-ness gets them paid up to 3 times higher than a normal cleaning service.
I started to think about it - So people are really happy to pay extra for excellence?
So if I add more care and thorough-ness in my work, the price can go up?
Let's try this - Please choose which you would prefer.
Mr A - charges 8000 Naira to service your generator. Extremely thorough. He doesn't splash oil on your walls. He cleans the generator and the whole area after working. He checks all the vital parts and writes you a note explaining the condition of the generator after working. He uses guaranteed original spares and signs off a warranty period on the note he gives you. He even stores the date for the next servicing and reminds you ahead.
Mr B - charges 5000 Naira to service your generator. He is our regular guy. Oil everywhere, leaves the place dirty after work. He comes when you call. He writes nothing - it isn't even important to him. He says nothing about the spares, he just buys and installs. He is 95percent of the guys we all know and use.
Imagine you need to service your generator every quarter and you had these two options, who would you choose? Who would you rather use?
Let's discuss in the comment section.
We like to test and see if people are really willing to pay more for excellence.
I love you!

So last night, I was at this Club around Wuse 2 axis.
While there, I noticed that when someone ordered for a drink, the lights gets dimmer, then some energetic waiters numbering about 10 ladies and guys, make some special procession-like movement holding beautiful LED-light Batons with the drink in a LED-light powered VIP Bottle glorifier (Bottle holder), as the DJ plays one Spanish or is it a Latino 'Dorime' àbí 'Torime' song like that (Clubbers may know this).
That song reminds me of the UEFA Champions League Anthem. Those whose Clubs have won the UCL will understand better.
Anyway, I digress 😁.
So, they play this 'Dorime' song and the feeling is awesgasmic.
I also noticed other people were ordering for drinks, but there was no specialty in the delivery of their orders, neither was the lights dimmed nor 'Dorime' played.
Just normal lighted drink holder with 3 tired ladies going to drop it for them at their tables.
But there were these set of guys that kept ordering the drinks that made the DJ always stop whatever music was playing, to play 'Dorime' as the waiters process to their table.
So curiously, amidst the loud sound of music, I drew closer and asked the waiter guy around me, "guy how far?, why are they playing that special 'Dorime' song for those guys, only when their drink is taken to them?"
Waiter smiled, leaned forward and said to me, "Sir, we only play it when people buy expensive Champagnes like Armand de Brignac (Ace of Spades)."
I asked him, "so how much is the Ace of Spades here?"
He whispered, "Sir, it's N500k for one Bottle."
I turned back, looked around me, switched to pidgin English, and said to him,
"you mean say 'Dorime' na N500k?"
He laughed and answered, "not the song Sir, but any expensive champagne bought, gets the song played"
I said to him, "and DJ don play that 'Dorime' like 7 times for those boys wey dey there?"
He laughed again and said, "Oga, I don't know when you entered here, but those guys been don dey order since."
I just smiled, said 'thank you' to him, sipped my Smirnoff Double Black, and left the Club earlier than I planned.
I refuse to bow to peer pressure.
Today, I will download that 'Dorime' song; then order a chilled La'Casera Drink for myself by myself at home; and as I open my fridge to serve myself, I will put off the light in my sitting room, light the candle and play 'Dorime.'
I can't shout jare.. 😳😳😳

Fashion Designer Gets ₦500,000 after Philanthropist Mistakenly Splashed Her Water
Read below:
today, on our way back from the day's business, one of the protocol cars mistakenly splashed water on a young lady who was walking by. I am often alert and so when I observed her actions, I needed to apologise.
Unlike what a lot of people would do, the young lady did not scream or curse at our cars . She cleaned herself up without a word and walked on.
This act of calmness in the face of such chaos and disruption called my attention.
Immediately, I instructed the cars to park and I called the young lady to apologize on behalf of my team. Of course, when she came, we apologized to her as much as words could convey and I asked her what she did for a living and when she said she was a fashion designer, we thought of the best way to assist her and eventually signed a cheque of half a million naira (500k) to her.
I dislike conducts that put others in uneasy places and I never encourage it. But the calmness that this lady exhibited was truly profound and I couldn't ignore it.
May our conducts in the face of uneasy situations enable others have a rethink. May it teach others important lessons about life.
