"This is exactly what happened when in the 1990s, Mo Ibrahim first conceived the idea of setting up a mobile phone company in Africa. Not many people thought it was a good idea, given all sorts of challenges in the continent, but in 6 years, Celtel had operations in 13 African countries and a revenue of $614 million by 2004. When Mo sold thee company in 2005, he pocketed $3.4 billion. It was all about value creation."
