So last night, I was at this Club around Wuse 2 axis.

While there, I noticed that when someone ordered for a drink, the lights gets dimmer, then some energetic waiters numbering about 10 ladies and guys, make some special procession-like movement holding beautiful LED-light Batons with the drink in a LED-light powered VIP Bottle glorifier (Bottle holder), as the DJ plays one Spanish or is it a Latino 'Dorime' àbí 'Torime' song like that (Clubbers may know this).

That song reminds me of the UEFA Champions League Anthem. Those whose Clubs have won the UCL will understand better.

Anyway, I digress 😁.

So, they play this 'Dorime' song and the feeling is awesgasmic.

I also noticed other people were ordering for drinks, but there was no specialty in the delivery of their orders, neither was the lights dimmed nor 'Dorime' played.
Just normal lighted drink holder with 3 tired ladies going to drop it for them at their tables.

But there were these set of guys that kept ordering the drinks that made the DJ always stop whatever music was playing, to play 'Dorime' as the waiters process to their table.

So curiously, amidst the loud sound of music, I drew closer and asked the waiter guy around me, "guy how far?, why are they playing that special 'Dorime' song for those guys, only when their drink is taken to them?"

Waiter smiled, leaned forward and said to me, "Sir, we only play it when people buy expensive Champagnes like Armand de Brignac (Ace of Spades)."

I asked him, "so how much is the Ace of Spades here?"

He whispered, "Sir, it's N500k for one Bottle."

I turned back, looked around me, switched to pidgin English, and said to him,
"you mean say 'Dorime' na N500k?"

He laughed and answered, "not the song Sir, but any expensive champagne bought, gets the song played"

I said to him, "and DJ don play that 'Dorime' like 7 times for those boys wey dey there?"

He laughed again and said, "Oga, I don't know when you entered here, but those guys been don dey order since."

I just smiled, said 'thank you' to him, sipped my Smirnoff Double Black, and left the Club earlier than I planned.

I refuse to bow to peer pressure.

Today, I will download that 'Dorime' song; then order a chilled La'Casera Drink for myself by myself at home; and as I open my fridge to serve myself, I will put off the light in my sitting room, light the candle and play 'Dorime.'

I can't shout jare.. 😳😳😳
