...to play his songs all through the week

Top rated hospitality outfit, Watbridge Hotels&Suites, Uyo has paid tribute to the life of the late music legend, Sir Victor Uwaifo who passed on yesterday at the age of 80.

The beat stopped yesterday for the iconic Edo born guitarist and Watbridge has joined in the early flurry of tributes by hanging the late maestro's picture frame on its 'Power of Vision'.

A message from the hotel management described Dr Uwaifo as a 'rare, legendary cultural icon who used his craft to enrich the culture of not only his Edo origin but the nation at large.
Eulogizing further, the hospitality outfit stated that 'for his outstanding contributions to the nation's cultural reservoir, the hotel has named him among its hall of famers, where he will join Fela, Mandela, Shakespeare, Soyinka and the rest on that extraordinary list'.

Meanwhile, the hotel has announced a weeklong commemoration to Uwaifo which among other things will have only his songs play within the hotel's reception, poolside, lobby, gym and everywhere around the facility.
